Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyWe had a fantastic stay during our time here. Moea received us very warmly and the bungalow was cute and clean. Really appreciated the fresh fruits that we got as well :) The beach is a little smaller than in the pictures now, but we had the place to ourselves during our stay and it was beautiful. Amazing snorkelling in the coral garden with the free kayaks.

United States of AmericaNice rustic place on the beach about a mile south of the ferry landing, consequently you need a car. Kayaks available, good snorkeling just off shore. Very friendly and accommodating caretaker. We had the place to ourselves, but usually there would be others. No AC, just fans. If you're looking for modern, this is not it. If you're looking for a nice relaxing place on the beach with a kitchen, this is it.

New CaledoniaThis is not something that I didnt like, because I was warned, but it is useful to have some sort of local transportation lined up. The nearest shop is a reasonable walk away.
Down to earth, but cute and cosy and a beachfront location to remember. Moea welcomed us warmly and was extremely helpful when we needed to know anything sbout Moorea.

New ZealandThe beach is just right at the front. Feel like you have a private beach for yourself. The host was super friendly. But it's quite hard to find the location, especially at night.

United States of AmericaStreet noise was more than optimal and you do smell fumes from the cars at times. Some nights were quiter than others but traffic on the main road in front starts just before 6am
Best part of the Eco Lodge is the location of the cottages right on the beach with walk-in access to the water and snorkeling. Free use of kayak's and paddle boards are a big bonus as well.

United States of AmericaOur bungalow was just off the road, so the cars driving by could be a little loud. On weekends, the locals burn their brush piles and it got a bit smoky outside. Not much you can do about that though, it’s part of the local experience.
We liked how the accommodation was right on the beach. The bungalow was very cute and we liked the artisan construction. It was great that we could take kayaks out into the water.

United States of AmericaI couldn’t figure out how to cover the bed with the mosquito nets. As a result we got bit at night when we slept.
The private beach and facilities were fantastic. Having the kitchen was a must and was very nice to have.

great location away from the town center. there is a beach nearby and restaurant n site. we love being able to cook since the kitchenette has a pretty complete cookware to make meals. We loved the open balcony that has an amazing view of the ocean and can watch the fish/dolphins in the morning.

United States of AmericaNot much…the open air feel and structure of the home provided for lots of mosquitos to fight with and a few times we had a local kitten sneak in somehow. But honestly the other stuff beat out this.
The ambiance, right there on the beach with that view..you can’t beat it. Also with only 3 units for rent, it’s very quiet and relaxing and quite private.

New ZealandNothing, it was great!
Amazing location, has its own little beach. I really liked having a sheltered outdoor area so I could sit outside even when it was raining. The lodge was immaculately clean and very cute. You need some transport to get around, but it's still a short drive to the main areas. Feel like it was very good value for money here as well!

AustriaNo mosquito net! No AC. Located far from shops/anything of interest, you need a taxi/rental. Loud street/animal noises during the night. I stayed in far superior accommodations in rich countries for half the price.
Nice private beach, friendly host, room and facilities were clean. For max. 1-2 nights okay if you bring mosquito repellant.

AustraliaSome road noise, but as it is the only main road and goes around the whole island just about all the accomodation would he the same. The views and location more than make up for it.
Absolutely fantastic! All the photos are true representations of the accommodation. The view is exactly as in the photos. Private beach and great snorkelling right on the doorstep. Just spectacular. We stayed in Ata and Hina. It is on one of the quieter sides/areas of the island so transport is a must. The bigger supermarket is about 2.5km away, but there is a couple of food vans and a pizza place (which is excellent as well) within a kilometre. Fresh fish and fruit readily available at roadside stalls and cheap. Everything is neat and tidy and gets swept and raked every day. Facilities are more than adequate for either cooking at home or eating out They make an effort with recycling and composting in an area where it is hard to do. Will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone. If you want the touristy side of the island with all the resorts and curio shops then this is probably not for you. If you want to experience local lifestyle and slow down then it is perfect.

United States of AmericaThe only thing is I wish I stayed an extra day but since it’s summer and high travel season it wasn’t available but everything else was amazing
Everything! I think it’s the best hotel on the island! It’s close to the ferry, close to few stores and we walked to get food and cooked. It has all appliances you need and it’s clean and comfortable! Bungalow has beach vibe and not commercialized hotel feel and that’s what we like so it was perfect. But the LOCATION is just beyond amazing. It’s right in the water. The water is crystal clear and you can snorkel right there. It’s just a little paradise. Staff was very very friendly and nice and it was always quite except for passing cars but you don’t hear that when you by the water. Recommend renting a scooter!

United States of AmericaIt was far from everything. No restaurants were open nearby the night we arrived. We had to walk quite a distance to get groceries and lug them back. The property was right on the street so you could hear motocycles going by in the night. There was no air-conditioning, but the fan in the bedroom kept the air circulating so we were comfortable sleeping.
The view was incredible from our patio. The bungalow was spacious with a full kitchen. You could cook your own meals easily. I felt safe there. The manager was friendly and helpful in every way. She recommended we rent a car, and that was a good idea.
