Dinner was okay, but not amazing for the price. Breakfast was much better (although an extra cost).

Zabola Estate is a gorgeous property with a lot to offer. My husband and I stayed here for one night only and wished we had stayed longer. We chose the Yellow Room, which had a fireplace and double shower with a view over the pond. It is the perfect little getaway for couples. The grounds are beautiful to walk around - the ponds, stables, castle, and there are hiking routes around the property. A relaxing, magical place to stay.

We missed the salads, greens mixes in the menu. The only option was Cezar salad. And the risotto from buckwheat was kind of a strange dish. The duck breast, chicken liver and chicken grilled breast were excellent.

I knew about this place for a while and I thought I might be dissapointed… you know how it is when expectations are too high. But Zabola Estate proved itself to be above the expectations. A lovely place, a hidden gem which I would like to keep it only for myself. We had a perfect stay. A place in the middle of nature, which transports you back in time. I loved everything: the sorroundings, the rooms, the restaurant, dogs… loved it! And for sure we will come back. Thank you for the great experience!

While I very much enjoyed the company of the four labradors, I was disheartened to notice that some of them had ticks. I managed to remove a few ticks from them, but a thorough check is necessary. Given that it's tick season, I hope the dogs receive the necessary care promptly to ensure their well-being.

I loved the whole outdoor atmosphere. It was classy, peaceful, cool spots to chill with a glass of wine, a coffee, or a book. The music was soft and pleasant, well-picked. The rooms were spacious and clean, with vintage pieces of furniture but everything with good taste and attention to the place's history. While the restaurant served excellent cuisine, I found the variety slightly lacking. But for a two-night staying it was alright. The bar was well-stocked, and the coffee was excellent.

Though we paid a good amount of money for the stay, there was not a single facility included in this price. Very expensive restaurant (20 euros for a chicken plate with vegetables, with little food range), as well as leisure activities - bike rental was over 15 euros/person/2h. The bedroom (our case the brick room) had spider webs all over the walls and dust on the fireplace shelf. Moreover, the bed sheets were torn.

One of the most beautiful places and accommodations I've ever stayed at. Everything is exquisite, elegant, super moody and romantic. I really recommend this place for couples on a romantic trip. Spotless customer service, good food (with an Indian-Hungarian twist). There are many activities to choose from (massage, horse riding, taking a walk, etc.), and the surrounding park/forest is really pleasant. I would return here anytime!

The food served in the restaurant is average, although it is sold at gourmet prices. As Zabola domain is placed in a village, there are no other restaurants nearby, therefore you have to drive 10-15km to either Covasna or Târgu Secuiesc in order to have lunch/diner.

In our room there was only one waste basket, a small one, in the bathroom. As we were there with our 2.5 year old toddler, we could have used another one in the room. But, to their credit, they did empty it every day and also made up the room, so it was not such a nuisance:-)

The grounds and the rooms are stunning; they transport you to another time, long gone. The food at the on-site restaurant is absolutely delicious and the staff very friendly! The cherry on top are the four black labradors which roam around all day and are clearly having a blast, as well as the horses which are just fantastic:-). We absolutely enjoyed the whole experience!

The following morning as we woke up the room was pretty cold. No matter which room you pay for, breakfast is not included.

It’s like being in a fairy tale- cozy, food is traditional, horse riding activity, everything is antique and authentic, I would highlight out of everything the bathroom and the fireplace. Nevertheless I would highlight Levente, he is professional and most of all he is very kind. He made our stay flawless.

Zabola is our “secret” place for almost 6 years. We are coming constantly, but this time the main problem was the food. Please do something about it, because the taste and the plate were mediocre to bad and for sure will attract bad feedback in the future. This review is a feedback for Zabola management to improve things as they were 2-3 yaers ago.

As usual Zabola is offering the experience we are looking for: relaxing atmosphere, nice staff.
