To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

SpainI stayed there for 5 days and the breakfast was the same every day, so a bit of variety would be nice. The hotel is slightly old fashioned but overall cosy and nice.
Great location, within a walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Grand Bazaar and the tram station. This is a friendly and safe neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants just around the corner. Most importantly the staff was very friendly, polite and helpful, from the receptionists to the cleaning ladies. Alil, the waiter in the restaurant, offered a great service, always with a smile and shared some cultural insights. The terrace where breakfast is served offers some nice views and it is a nice way to start the day. The room was impeccably clean and I was lucky to be on the garden side so it was quiet. The wifi was very reliable.

Location was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Room clean everyday. Fresh towels and slippers given every day. Nice relaxing roof top terrace and beautiful sea view. Part of blue mosque is visible from the roof top. Overall very happy with the service and the staff.
