Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe street outside was very noisy at nighttime and it was difficult to sleep, although that isn't the fault of the hotel.
Really lovely hotel in a great location. The staff were very helpful and attentive, especially Efe, who was really kind and helpful. Breakfast was great with a fantastic view of the Bosphorus. Would recommend!

Irelandslightly shabby but it’s a historic area so that’s ok. I got better value booking an airport transfer myself than using the hotel’s service. As an apartment it was quite bare but as three rooms with their own door and a kitchenette, it was fine.
good area for sightseeing and close to a shop for necessities.

TurkmenistanAirport pick up. After arrival in Istanbul, I went to the exit I was told to go to. My transportation was not there. It was necessary for a local to force someone working in that arrival area to check a list, locate my name and call the ride. This was a stressful headache as it was almost midnight by that point.
Breakfast was good and very close by. There is a choice to have the included breakfast at one of two very close locations.

TurkmenistanAirport pickup upon arrival was a nightmare and a disaster and not worth the $50 charged. That is not an unfair price at the time of my arrival - approximately 9:30 PM. I was lucky to get out quickly and went to the location the hotel instructed me to. Someone was supposed to be there - Nobody was. My colleague's Turkish partner spoke to someone with a list of names - mine was on it. I am not sure what she said, but she had to yell at him to get him to call a cab for me. That was another 20 minutes. This is a great little hotel in a great location, but in all my years of travel this is the ABSOLUTE WORST PICKUP experience I have ever had.
The two breakfast options were very good and both were located about a three minute walk away from the building where several of the rooms were. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Sami got me a tour guide for a very fair price and helped me arrange my travel forward.

Only a few minutes walking from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace...perfect. The room was no frills basic, but great value for location - lovely little balcony. All managing staff were very helpful; the airport shuttle was a great idea.

BahrainThe rooms are small .. no elevator .. housekeeping is every other day .. the breakfast is in another hotel with a sea view so there is no sea view from Hippodrome!! The crew don't seem to be friendly.. they are just trying to be. When i came to check out there were 2 women shouting in there home language that the receptionist could understand. Customers are always right . The receptionist didn't accept card for the taxi to airport.. only cash!!! No receipt !!
The area is nice . Close to many landmarks like historical places and local markets. It's also close to the metro station and the red bus that takes the tourists in amazing trip around Istanbul. Restaurants are all around you will so many choices and you can walk to sea !

United KingdomThe rooms are good size but need to be refurbished especially the bathroom. The lobby is so small and the garden as well.
The hotel is located in a very busy area where all the attractions are close. The blue mosque, Hajia Sophia, markets, bazaars and many more. The breakfast was great with a beautiful view of the blue mosque. The staff were amazing and very helpful.

NetherlandsThe hotel isn't what it looks like in the pictures. The breakfast is in another hotel across the street and it's very minimal, as well as the breakfast area itself. The view on the Blue Mosque as they show in the pictures is only viewable from just three tables on the outside terrace. We decided to get breakfast somewhere else for the rest of our stay. The 6 person apartment we booked was also different as portrait. No big apartment, but just three regular hotel rooms connected to the same hallway. This hallway does have it's own door and key which you get, but housekeeping left it open each day. The kitchen you can see in the pictures and in the description is just a corner where the hotel dumps its own things (see picture). Our bed sheets and towels were old and sometimes had holes in them. When giving our feedback at checkout, we weren't listened to and the receptionist didn't respond and just went on doing his thing.
If you're looking for just a place to sleep, it's a fine place to stay. Located right between the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sofia is a plus, although this also means you are right in the touristic area with less authentic shops and places to eat and some outdoor noise. The rooms (of the 6 person apartment) are simple but fine.

GermanyThe room was small and we had a baby we booked for a baby cot and when we arrived the baby cot was not there. And the electric kettle was not working, and when I asked for another one, the someone told me we don't have another, and when I told him for the child, we must heat the water for the child, he brought another one. The place of the room is in one building and the breakfast is in another building. This makes moving families with children very difficult
Very close to the tourist areas and Hagia Sophia
