Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The hotel is lovely with a great pool and terrace, the breakfast is excellent and most of all Tugce and her family are just so friendly and kind.

United KingdomVery little. Rooms are basic so if you are looking for frills there aren't any. Breakfast could be improved by a couple of small extra's such as fresh orange and yoghurt with fruit for example
It is a simple and fairly basic family run hotel with an adequate but small pool however the whole family are lovely and can't do enough for you and it is exceptionally pleasant and clean. Its also in a good location although you need to taxi in and out of town in the extreme heat

RussiaSome minor room imperfections like jammed door in the bathroom. And having thicker curtain for the bathroom or some option to hold it to the wall would be good because it was easy to pour the bathroom floor.
Incredible hospitality! Nice looking hotel with amazing view and delicious breakfast. Owners do everything for guests comfort. I was even provided with another pillow with lower profile by request (if you are a face-in-pillow sleeper like me you can do the same). Everyday cleaning. Breakfast was very good, I swear I had no idea that there are that many ways to cook eggs! And I could have as much coffee as needed to wake up. Even local cats are the most affectionate I met, I bet it's because of warm and friendly atmosphere.

Location is great 10 mins walk into town and cheap taxi back. Breakfast was excellent lovely home made jams , cheese bread etc and eggs cooked as you wanted. The rooms are simple but kept spotlessly clean. The family that run the hotel are genuinely lovely people . Thankyou Tugce, Ilyas, Gursel and Sait for a wonderful holiday. Fingers crossed we will see you next year.

For a super chilled stay in Kalkan you won’t go far wrong staying at this hotel. We were there for 2 weeks and loved everything about it especially the fresh breakfast and the lovely family that run it. Kalkan is a great spot and Lavender’s lodge is in a lovely quiet location with spectacular views. Steep walk back up from the village but for TL20 (GBP2) a taxi is well worth the investment! Highly recommend, nothing is too much trouble!

ItalyThe Hotel is really, really nice, located at 15 minutes walking from the centre or 3 minutes by car. The rooms are super clean and we had a beautiful view of the sea. There’s a swimming pool where you can relax or having breakfast in the morning. The best thing is the welcome you receive! The family - who runs the hotel - will cuddle you during all your stay! I really recommend Lavender’s Lodge!!

United KingdomPillows were extremely firm! Would have preferred softer ones but slept ok .
Fabulous and plentiful breakfast. Hot food cooked to order and included fried or scrambled eggs, omelette or menemen and also toast if requested - fab! Çay and filter coffee too. Sitting outside with such a view was a bonus. Really enjoyed the snacks served with the drinks. Everywhere was exceedingly clean. Great air con too! Everyone at Lavender Lodge was amazing from Tugçe and her husband. (Sorry I don’t think I can spell the name correctly)to her father and mother. People that really go the extra mile to make sure their guests have a good time are rare to find but everyone did their very best to ensure this happened. Even taking my husband to the local garage to interpret so he could get our car fixed! Where else would you find such kind people. We will return and I would highly recommend the Lavender Lodge hotel to anyone wanting a stay in beautiful Kalkan! Thank you all so much!

TurkeyFirstly, it was a pleasure for us to stay in a great hotel with great hosts. I am gonna call them as hosts since you feel so comfortable with them as if you’re visiting a friend. We had a great breakfast including various homemade marmalade with dear Tuna’s kind service . I loved the decoration, small touches around the hotel. Tuğçe and her family are really tasteful and you can see it from the decorations to breakfast. There is a small swimming pool. The closest supermarket is 5-10 min far away. We didn’t have car. It’s very close to bus station. It’s in a good location for people planning to visit Kaş, Fethiye and so on. We walked to public beach in 15 min. To walk there is not a problem but it’s more logical to take a taxi while returning. I think it’s really important to stay in a place where you can feel comfortable. They are really easy going, careful and very helpful people. When we need anything, they provided it immediately, even suggested better solutions for us. One day if I come back to Kalkan, I’ll definitely stop by this hotel again!

UkraineEverything was great, I couldn't find anything to complain about. Except for the fact, we couldn't stay here a couple of days more :)
We stayed in Lavender's Lodge just for three nights, and we fell in love with it. First of all, I'm always carefully read comments before the booking. What impressed me is the number of positive comments. After visiting the hotel, I can safely say that each one of them is true. Moreover, it exceeded our expectations. The hosts were very attentive to all our requests, hospitable, and helpful. Breakfast was super tasty and nourishing. Not every hotel offers you to choose several meals for breakfast, and this one does. The room was clean and tidy, with enough space for two adults and one child. Also, the lobby space and terrace are very comfortable if you need to work with a laptop or chill while having dinner and watching the sunset. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
