To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location and view. We really liked the balcony view, bathroom had hot water, bed was comfortable, ac was great. Within 6 Mins walk, you can reach cool beach clubs as SUP. Breakfast was also more than enough. Waiters are great.

New ZealandI needed another blanket. I don’t like using the air conditioner, and it was a bit cold in the evenings.
Everything was perfect. The room was beautiful with a wonderful view, the staff could not do enough for me and the breakfasts were fantastic. I felt like a princess! The pool and surrounding area was great for relaxing, there was shade and bar service. I absolutely loved the hotel, the staff and the area.

SwitzerlandThe view was extremely nice from the room and breakfast area/ restaurant, however the room itself was not ideal - small bed, low seiling, not many useful furniture or decorations inside. Breakfast itself was standard and tasty - only issue was that it starts a bit late (8.30 only). There’s a big demand for this area and not many hotels hence prices are high, as you spend most of the time outside of the hotel, it might make sense to go for something cheaper.
