To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaDog barked one entire night and kept us awake. We were compensated. That was thoughtful. Not enough electrical outlets in the room. Something in the room next to ours was banging on the wall for hours at night. Room was very small and hard to get around in but the cost was very high.
The people that work there are wonderful. The beds are comfortable. I felt safe. Free bottles of water!

Zero sense of hospitality - had to ask for bottled water at front desk, no slippers, kettle, coffee or tea options. For over $900 AU per night it felt no frills other than the room itself - which was very nice.

United States of AmericaStaff didn’t help with luggage when we checked in and checked out. Cleaning staff keeps knocking on the door at 8-9Am everyday for clean up while we are getting ready to go out. Room is very small and we keep tripping on the angle edge of the bed with our legs.

Ukrainethere is no way to open the window, at all. so, even if the weather is fine outside, air conditioning is all you have. sadly, at night sometimes there was not enough fresh air, because the room is super compact. and this also means that you will return to the room only to take a shower and go to bed.
