Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaStaff is almost non-existent. Other guests helped answer my questions. Almost all communication was via text, but they were prompt on texts. Only saw 1 person who worked there refreshing breakfast items.

Beautiful old home with outbuildings. Perfect choices for privacy. It was like the best of a hotel and B&B combined.

United States of AmericaNo tv’s. I didn’t realize until the last minute. If your not a tv watcher your golden, if you are maybe you want a residence with a tv.
Very clean and quiet. Close to town, able to walk to shops and restaurants.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was very very limited. Coffee tea, some cookies and a yogurt. Oh and a cereal bar. So need to foresee a budget for daily breakfast. That was bumper.
Charm of the place

United States of AmericaThe hotel has no sign, which might make you miss it when you first arrive.. There are no heavy food options. My only pet peeve is, as a design choice, the books that adorn this hotel in rooms, lobbies and tables all have their covers removed, which bugs the F out of me.
The Blind Tiger is based on an unassuming street without flashy lights or large lobbies. Inside, it feels like you have stepped into a mid century house and are house sitting for a friend with a few other strangers. There are curated selection of snacks and drinks on hand discreetly behind the bar. Fireplace roars in different rooms on the ground floor which serve as a dining/gathering area. Each spot can be used to either quietly read, play games, warm yourself by the fire or take great portraits and fashion photos. Rooms are unique, well furnished and full of old world charm. They are cozy and furnished with lovingly maintained old style furnishings. A few creaks in the floor & the occasional stuck door jamb end up adding to the ambience rather than taking from it.

United States of AmericaA TV would be nice but I think they don't have them in the main house as it could disturb other gusts.
It is a very eclectic B n B which I liked. Breakfast was fine, a variety of foods to have including fruit. My room was very nice and comfortable, as was the king size bed. Its in a great location, quiet but close to many place tec. in Asheville. It felt like a home from home.

United States of AmericaPerhaps more breakfast options for the "grab-and-go" morning options. Perhaps an evening option might be nice as well - - a glass of wine or a bar?
Beautiful setting a bit out of the fray of downtown Asheville. We loved our cozy cabin, with plenty of space and a beautiful fireplace. Easy parking in a convenient neighborhood, yet secluded. It was a very quiet stay.

United States of AmericaThe inn has a lot of very eccentric light fixtures and decorative pieces in the parlor and the shared spaces. Too many pieces and too weird for my taste.
The breakfast room was very nice and we enjoyed having the freedom to choose the beverages and foods that we preferred. We are early risers so it was nice to be able to help ourselves to coffee at any time.

United States of AmericaThe bathroom shower floor needs some updating. The bed was very uncomfortable. Housekeeping doesn't dust very well and only made the bed without changing the sheets. Windows were very dirty.
Food was fine, getting downtown was easy walking and we are 65 and 71. Staff was very friendly and informative about the area.

United States of AmericaI would have liked a Happy Hour to be part of the experience. Right around check-in would have been perfect.
The Breakfast was good. I wish that it was a of a meal experience with couples sitting together at a large table promoting interaction. I thought that if given an opportunity I think that folks that were there would choose to be more social as opposed to treating the stay like if they were at a hotel. It was nice to have coffee available throughout the day.

United States of AmericaThere was nothing I didn't like. I did notice the garden was due a visit, but it didn't look bad, just busy.
I loved the breakfast! It changes day by day. Also, the staff were wonderful. I stayed in the Robert Frost room and highly recommend it. King bed, fireplace, privacy from bedroom windows thanks to the gardens. I would absolutely stay here again!
