To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Both young ladies at the front desk during morning shift and night shift gave the best customer service I have ever experienced thus far at a hotel. They were kind, knowledgeable, willing to help, and very polite. This hotel experience was great for our homeschool field trip!

United States of AmericaThe only draw back is that you have to use the ROKU for the tv to work. You have to sign into all of your apps. If you have a firestick, you can connect, but there will be no volume...weird. We tried on both tvs.

Every thing in the room was nice and clean, the smell was very pleasant, the staff greeted me with curiosity, and very polite. I will come back on my next visit to Charlotte.

United States of AmericaRenovation is still under way. Little things like some of the outlets and wall lights are not attached securely. Minor details are not yet completed. Ice machines on all 6 floors were not functioning. Ice was available on the first floor in the soon to be opened lounge off the main entrance. We are occasional travelers, and this was the 1st time we had to pay a refundable room deposited upon check-in. The cover on the exhaust fan in the bathroom was dirty.
The room was clean,the bed being brand new was excellent, and the hot water was hot and endless.

It was reasonable and sufficient for the cost. It was clean. Walls were a little thin but nothing that kept us from being comfortable. Staff was friendly and helped us with anything we needed.
