We drove 13 hours from Norfolk,VA, on the day of arrival and had 13 more to drive the next day. We really needed some rest. When we arrived, it was peaceful and quiet, we were really looking forward to getting rest, and then the occupants of the apt across from us and above us entered the building being loud, slamming doors coming in and out of the building not respecting the quiet time rules.

The apartment felt very relaxing, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was close to restaurants, entertainment, and quick access to the highway.

Building neighbors were noisy but this was on a Friday/Saturday night. Older building so stairwell noise was loud. Also building front door was propped open when I arrived. I did have parking garage code but chose to park on street as it was not easy to turn around in garage. Wished I had not pulled into garage and just parked on street from beginning.

Location was perfect for my needs. Apartment was well furnished and decorated. I didn’t need/ use the kitchen but it was a nice size and seemed to have what might be needed. Very comfortable.

The mattress was not comfortable. There was no flatware in the kitchen, and the glass carafe was missing from the coffee maker.

Excellent location. I’ve always wondered that those historic old apartment buildings were like inside. It was quaint - almost European. Great kitchen.

The payment was a little weird but not too bad

Only a 15 minute walk to the zoo. Get to the room was a little confusing but not bad. Loved that it was like a little apartment

Kitchen is not well supplied. There were no spoons at all and no can opener. It’s a long walk to carry suitcases from the parking garage to the apartment.

The location is wonderful! Very close to Forest Park, Washington University and downtown. The apartment was perfectly clean.

The property management company failed to send me check in procedures before I arrived. After a day of travel my phone battery was very low. I had to walk to a nearby restaurant to plug in and contact the company. A very rude voice answered the phone. When I informed him I could not get into the unit, he snorted, "Why not?" and then "I sent you info with no reply from you, but I will send it again." He did not resend the info -- I checked email, text, and the booking app. I had to book and pay for an additional room at a different hotel. I was able to get into the unit the next day, but only after many emails asking for the info.

Where to begin…. This is a very old building. The floors are completely uneven, and the bathroom looks like it was painted and tiled with toothpaste. Furthermore, do not stay past the 11 am checkout time. I was loading items into my vehicle at 11:02 and went back to retrieve my laptop and phone. Codes no longer worked and I was locked out. I literally had to find a folding chair and push the window unit air conditioner out and climb thru the window. Who was I going to call? My phone was locked in the room. This was unbelievably stupid. I finally reached out to the owner or manager who basically said “we change the codes at the checkout time and can’t control them other than ‘on the hour.” Ok. Thanks for making me climb through a window.

The place sounded charming, but I was sorely disappointed. 1) The "garden patio" is a slab of concrete that covers the garage. It's decorated with two dead plants. 2) There was trash outside my door. 3) There is construction with lots of hammering. 4) There is a $50 cleaning fee (undisclosed in there initial price) YET I found burned steak in the oven on a plate 5) There is a coffee maker, but no carafe to make it in. There is a tea kettle, but no teapot in evidence. 6) Neither floor lamp worked and the shades were loose 7) The rug in the bathroom has no grip underneath so it slides and is dangerous. 8) The bathtub is painted and the paint is peeling 9) The towels are rough. 10) There is no drinking glass in the bathroom. 11) Paint is peeling on the bathroom wall next to the window 12) Guests have to take out their own trash and recycling (not included in the $50 cleaning fee!) in a dumpster on the sidewalk. Actually, I think it's just for recycling not apparently trash s going there, too.

The keypad on the door, for a first time guest, was inadequate. Guests were not properly instructed in how to press an electronic keypad, so the system locked up for what seemed a long time.

There is nothing that I didn't like. Everything simply exceeded my expectations.

My first stay in an AirBnB. And I must say that I am super happy! The house was very clean, well designed, generating a lot of positive vibes. The owner was very accommodative. The location is an upscale neighborhood, quiet and is primarily a residential area.

No central air conditioning. There was a small air conditioner on the window and the room had a good heater but it made very loud noises and it was very hard to sleep. It woke me up a few times.
