Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

5* location, within walking distance to pretty much anywhere downtown. there's parking available, which was the main reason i booked it, but it's TIGHT and limited. it's on first come first serve basis. i was driving a toyota corolla, and it fit just fine, but could imagine being more complicated to park larger/wider cars. the room is old but big and functional. it gets loud in the mornings because it's right at the intersection of tram lines, which means it's well connected. lots of nice and reasonably priced food spots nearby because of the uni campus.

United KingdomCar park is super tight - be prepared to find on street parking if you arrive on a weekend evening, though you should be okay during the week (though it’s still tight to get in). Homeless guy was using it as a bathroom which was gross though. The room was very basic, felt a little grimy but I think that’s due to age. Shower ran super cold at peak times so suggest waking up early or showering in the early evening but it is overall good value… take these as tips for your stay rather than putting you off!
It’s a good option to be close to downtown Portland - we were in walking distance of a concert venue we needed to go to, Powells, and a cool punk bar. Staff were really nice, couldn’t fault them. Appreciated being able to pay the deposit in cash too! Room had a blow dryer, fridge/freezer, a microwave, and TV with plenty of channels which was a great touch.

United KingdomBring ear plugs for the tram -- runs just outside, you can hear & feel it. The facility is being renovated right now, needs it badly, so leave behind any expectations - that said, it is clean and staff are very receptive to fixing anything you need.
Great location of course, but above all, excellent customer service. Nothing was too much trouble, no question too silly. Staff were informed, funny, polite & accommodating when I was traveling to and intimidated by a strange city. Honestly haven't had better in a five star hotel - I have stayed in a few. Very clean & the replacing of the little soaps every day was also super appreciated. Thanks Nileshwar and other 2 guys on reception!! From start on the phone to check out and travel qs, you all were awesome.

United States of AmericaWhen I arrived I had to wait 15 minutes before someone showed up at the reception to let me in. I arrived exactly when I said I would and had been assured I could check in then. The cafes shut down at night and the options for local eating are limited.
Large room with fridge and microwave. Good transportation links. I enjoyed seeing the trams from my room, though I imagine some might be disturbed by the sound of them going by. Plenty of local cafes during the day. The receptionists were friendly and helpful.

United States of AmericaWe stayed on the third floor and right above us there was construction going on on the roof that didn't allow us to sleep very good and was very loud, they also make it hard to leave with all the debri on the floor. The parking lot is also a tight squeeze making it difficult to enter and leave.
For the price that we paid this place was great place to stay, really got a good deal here. The staff was friendly and nice and it's location was pretty good.
