Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe property has mice. When I contacted the mgnt.co. they were extremely helpful and concerned. They offered me to switch to a different unit but I declined because other tenants told me they also had them and I was there working and didn't have time to move. I just wanted some traps set. I spoke with mngt several times and no one ever came to set traps.
Excellent location. Very cool historical property. Comfy bed and everything I needed for my stay.

United States of AmericaThe room was a little cold and we could not warm it up by changing the Nest Thermostat.
The building is beautiful and historic. The room was nice and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Would definitely go back.

United States of AmericaThe email and the information inside was incorrect. -the handbook link doesn’t work -the apartment door code was incorrect (customer service had to correct) -the name of the apartment/hotel should always be included in emails for future use. Confusing when trying to find the place. -didn’t like that the Abode rules were hidden until after paying for a night -hated that there was a hidden $250 security deposit. This should be mentioned at the beginning before paying for a night. Nobody likes bad surprises. I would have been fine with some of this issues if they were transparent (mainly the last two points about hidden information).
Customer service helped me get the correct name of the hotel and correct passcode to get into the room. My booking location was supposed to be called “The Pennsylvanian” on my email but it wasn’t so I had a hard time finding it when the address took me to the Amtrak parking downstairs (and not the main entrance). Customer service helped.

United States of Americabed didn’t stay on the bed frame it was sliding around and the bed frame was very loud if you moved in bed. Water from the toilet smell like a sewer for the first day but then went away. Pillows were not good, my head sunk all the way through the pillow, it felt like i wasn’t even on a pillow.
check in was easy, all the rooms were very spacious, the washer and dryer in the hotel was nice, actual bed was very comfortable, appliances were very nice to have, tv was nice and could stream anything, bathroom was nice.

BrazilProblems to check-in, in the first day the internet wasn't working, but everything was solved. The answer from the property takes to much time, that's one thing that could change, but it's OK. For me, the heat/cooler wasn't working well, but I found a fan that helps me a lot.
Well located, next to a lot of things, besides, bus everytime that goes to everywhere. The apartment is spacious, cozy, comfortable, with everything you need.

United States of AmericaCommunication could have been much better. I received a text that I needed to take action within 2 hours. If I had been on a plane I would not have made it within the time frame. Also, I could not open the pages for parking instructions, etc so when I arrived I was quite frustrated as to where to park and how to get into the building. I got them after we got into the room. That information should have been passed on sooner. Also, the "Mr. Coffee" maker did not work and when I called I did not receive any resolution. Overall the stay was great. We would definitely stay there again especially since we now know how everything works.
There was no breakfast. The location was fantastic.

United States of AmericaThere was a mouse and ants in the apartment. There was also a wedding Saturday night and could hear the bass well after 11 PM. Not the biggest deal on that but I think there should be a disclaimer for a popular venue with noise (might have missed it, but don’t recall seeing anything)

United States of AmericaI arrived on Friday and the shower drain was clogged. Notified them right away. Wasn't fixed while we were there Fri - Mon. So showering in the filth of a drain was on the agenda for the long weekend. Maybe Pittsburgh has a rodent problem in general but I've never been anywhere with rodents but there was a mouse running around. Luckily if he made an appearance he'd run back to his hidey hole if I got up. Everything you have to do to secure your reservation is absurd. Send in copies of the ID, of the people staying there. A copy of the card you used. It was a lengthy process that took at least an hour to complete. Multiple messages back and forth plus using their website to do forms for them. I wouldn't stay here again.
Location is great. The furniture was comfortable and nice enough. The condo was stocked with enough dinnerware, utensils and cookware.

United States of AmericaThe second floor is not well-maintained, multiple staff have entry access to the apartment, and one side of the stay is very noisy. In addition, the central heating is sporadic.
The building is beautiful and it’s very centrally located. While parking was difficult, we made it work. Many things were very short drives away.
