Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.

I think that the only thing that could've been improved was on the breakfast front. It didn't seem that the value for the money was worth it.
It was a very nice stay. The lobby was a modern and clean vibe, which was very in step with the entire experience.

They should include other fruits, there was only banana and strawberries, they should also include oats because they only have sachets and no nuts to add to them. The waffles are cold and already made, there is no machine to make them, they do not have a microwave to make the oatmeal, there were only 4 units of yogurt available after 20 minutes of opening breakfast.
I don’t recommend the Breakfast the price is not in line with the menu they offer. I have visited many hotels where the breakfast is much better and also included in the price m. The staff super nice

Staff were “eh”. Like not in tune to those staying and around the front lobby area. Like, get off your phones and get your heads up and pay attention to the humans around you that happen to spend their money and stay at your hotel and ultimately keep you working and receiving pay checks.
Breakfast - 17/person. But through Booking.com should be 0.10 / person as stated on confirmation summary. It’s not worth a 17/person breakfast as you can get the same type breakfast options at a Holiday Inn/Comfort Suites/Days Inn/etc mid level hotel. Tried to make me pay full price. But manager took care of making it accurate based upon info shared. So kudos to the manager.

After purchasing on booking.com, property charged me again for the second time for my stay. Also, after stating that breakfast for one was included, they also charged me for that. Very deceptive.

The thermostat is directly in the path of the vent!! wouldn't cool the room. Finally covered it. (this is a problem in all marriott hotels I have stayed in. The Fitness room is in bad need of repair. Only one treadmill worked but we made do with what did and got a circuit workout in.

Breakfast was a little bit pricey.

The only downside was the approach - there was inadequate signage to indicate where to park for check-in, so we parked in the lower level of the parking garage, and then couldn't find our way up to the lobby without a room key yet. But this was a minor issue.
The AC Marriott in Durham is a very stylish, new hotel. All the spaces are very beautifully decorated in contemporary style. The room was very smartly designed and equally stylish. The bathroom was terrific, with a very large counter space - rare for any hotel. We really enjoyed the hotel. Great location, convenient to the university and with some good dining options nearby.

Oatmeal in packets, not many other pastry options that I remember, tea was kinda weak. Entrance and parking garage are challenging to reach for large vehicles because of narrow access road, parking spaces. Spin cycle on the industrial laundry was audible my room sometimes.
Breakfast pretty good, better than a typical chain breakfast because there was fresh bacon, eggs, and waffles along with a meat and cheese platter, cereal, coffee machine, 4 kinds of fruit juice.
