Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndonesiaWater coming out from the pipes was not the cleanest (seemed like something clogged up the drain), view was not as promised (the room I got was overlooking the back of the building)
The room's ambience, decent size, easy access to Stumptown coffee

AustraliaI spent way too long waiting for elevators. The room was freezing and there was minimal bedding. The single room was fine for one person but zero storage so everything went on the floor. The shower has a bath attached which doesn’t fill - was disappointing given it’s the only way to warm up. Room was noisy as hell! Mainly from the street noise, not the neighbours.
The location is good if you want to be in midtown. Front desk staff were great. It’s on the cheaper side for New York so you get what you pay for I guess.

SwedenOur room didn't have any closet (just several hangers), so we needed to keep our clothes either on the table or in the suitcase. Small closet would be nice instead of a very large mini-bar. The door to the toilet / bath wasn't closing fully, there was always a small gap, which was a bit uncomfortable, but not critical.
Location is absolutely great, very good transport (and by foot) accessibility to all main landmarks! Our room had a view to Empire State Building, what was truly awesome. Lots of places to have breakfast / lunch / dinner close to the hotel. Our room has almost everything (except for the closet), that you need in a 8-day trip - comfortable bed, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, TV, small safe deposit. Very nice, friendly and open to help staff is working at this hotel!

United States of AmericaToo dark. Lobby, hallway, reception and room were all very dark. As I read in other reviews, everything was getting old. Our bathroom sink was clogged so the water wouldn’t drain very well. Shower tiles were cracked, the cushions smelled dusty. It took me three calls to the front desk to have extra towels and blankets. No ramp in any of the entrances. It’s quite silly for a hotel because most travelers have suitcases. We had a stroller so it was stressful. Not family friendly. I booked early and got a good deal so it’s ok, but if I had paid full price I would’ve been pretty disappointed.
Cool vibe, great location. Walkable to a few different subway stations. Friendly staffs. Two queen bed room was spacious, cozy feeling more like an apartment than a hotel room.

CanadaBathroom needs better lighting. Not much soundproofing from the hallway, door doesn't seem that heavy. Good luck trying to find a place to work in the lobby, it is frequented by locals doing work - which is a great that it is authentic but hard to get stuff done.
This hotel has really cool vibes! So many restaurants attached to the lobby if you need to grab something to eat. The lobby area was always busy. Room itself is all the space you need to rest your head. Decor is very dorm like vibes.

Australiaunnecessary accessories in room taking up space- didn't need record player and the pencil sharpener on the bench just got in the way- why would a guest want to sharpen a pencil? the shower curtain did not have enough weight and would stick to you in the shower there was bar soap and no holder- made a slimey mess on the basin the lighting was very poor in the room

NetherlandsNo sound proofing (or double pane windows) can make for a noisy experience. Hotel is a bit outdated and in need of updating/upgrading. Gym's AC still not working properly for months now.

United KingdomWater in the room was very expensive, so we bought it in.
The hotel was in a good location where we could easily walk or jump on the metro to get around. It was not far from attractions such as the Empire State building, Maceys, and decent restaurants. It suited us not to stay in the noisy Time Square area. The room was large and the beds comfy. Would stay again.

United States of AmericaNothing major. Rooms were small but probably standard size for NYC. The decor is just a bit dark. Dark paint and low light throughout the hotel. Not necessarily a bad thing but if you’re used to staying at Westins, Hiltons, Marriotts etc…it takes a few minutes to adjust.
Great location. Close to MSG arena and the subway lines. Nice lobby with lots of comfortable leather chairs. The food was surprisingly good at the bar and in the restaurant. Shower in the room was nice. Staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely book this hotel again.
