Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I was surprised to find NO clothes hangers in the roomy closet, and with the limited office hours had no way to try to get some. Also as with many hotels, the bathtub drain was very slow, could use a dose of Drano.
My suite was spacious and clean, the HVAC worked great, the bed was comfortable, and my request for a ground floor room was accommodated.

I have to say the parent company could do a little refurbishing. Bathrooms might be a good place to start.
Beverly was very friendly. The property was convenient to where we needed to be. There was an issue, maintenance related so no one’s fault, we had to change rooms but the staff made it simple.

Walls and baseboards needs deep cleaning.. The tub also had stains, it reeked of a mens cologne upon entering the apartment. it was almost offensive, but I was so tired that I just wanted to shower and rest. the bedroom tv remote did not work which was frustrating since I had to keep getting up to change channels. The mirror in the bedroom could’ve been full length. Bad lighting in the bathroom
very convenient to work; I like that there was a full size kitchen with stove/oven for use; cable tv channels were a plus with HBO and lots of others to choose from.

The front desk clerk cause she didn’t act like a manager, she kept harassing me and my friend. She was rude and she didn’t fix what was supposed to be fixed when I brought it to her attention after checking into my room. The Heat/AC did NOT work I had to leave the window open all day and night to stay somewhat cool. Would not recommend this hotel.

we stayed in a different building this time and it was smaller than the previous room. the bed was not the greatest, mattress was a bit saggy in the middle. the dish drainer full of dishes had been stuffed under the sink and everything needed washing. we found a pacifier under/next to the bed. the tv remote in the bedroom didn’t work at all. definitely not as nice a stay this time.
this was our second stay. we like the location as it’s halfway between the family we visit. the manager is pleasant and it’s pretty quiet.

The room was poorly managed. Attempts to repair were very evident but not complete, like quick patches. The floor seemed to have been recently laid but was not properly secured and moved as you walked across the room. The imitation wood floors were, in my opinion, a safety hazard.

First I didn’t like that I had to clean the entire apartment to be able to stay there. I didn’t like that I felt I had no choice but to stay due to the lack of support from staff at check in. I didn’t like that the lady who called was very rude when I had an issue with my debt card at check in. I didn’t like that the email I received said check was at 3 but the office was only open till 1. I didn’t like that the 6 stains in the bedroom carpet as so bad we had to wear socks or keep our shoes on. I didn’t like that when I went to cook the pan I needed had black burnt on food in the bottom. I didn’t like that someone kept smoking on the steps outside our room and the smell kept coming in under the front door where light could be seen. I didn’t like that I had to purchase cleaning supplies and had to scrub the shower before I used it. I am a person who gives people the benefit of doubt, but I was surprised when the grime came right up. I didn’t like that I had to try to sleep in the chair and on the couch covered with a sheet because the bed was so hard.
