Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel staff couldn't do much to help me due to this being a private unit. The coffee pot hadn't been cleaned in months. The ceiling around the sprinkler & lights crumbles every time the door closes, causing a mess on the floor and there was no housekeeping.
The actual hotel and it's staff.

United States of AmericaRequested and received confirmation for 2 beds. Room had 1 bed, no other rooms available. Very uncomfortable as I had to sleep on the floor due other family member used the bed. Also, lobby to parking garage was not working. Had to stop at valet to let family member off as she could not do the stairs, then went to park car in the garage. Very inconvenient.

United States of AmericaThere was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The positioning of the television was really odd and WiFi in the room near the balcony was really bad. I could not sit at the table in the room and do work I had to sit on the bed to get a signal.
The location is great because it’s central so it doesn’t take long to get to many destinations on the island. The location is also steps away from the beach.

United Kingdomdidn’t realise I’d booked an air B&B through LSI and not direct with the hotel. all cleaning costs and fresh towels and bedding came at a big cost. asked for more coat hangers and toilet roll to which LSI said they would bring up on the first day I WAS STILL WAITING ON THE LAST DAY! balcony was locked out of use too for safety reasons ? never heard of that before unless there’s a huge suicide rate there ? it was opened after 2 days for us to use.
good location just out of Waikiki & the Ala Moana shopping Mall. gym was brilliant and pool area too. Staff were all fantastic

ChileThe fact that I wasn't really renting a room directly to the hotel, it was a private owner so it did not include anything, not even cleaning service, and the worst part is that they did not even care to tell me that before, they made us believed we just rented a room in that luxury hotel, but the experience of it was just like an airbnb
the location was pretty cool, there's just around the corner a big mall with everything you need, buses stop right outside the hotel and taxi is cheap

United States of AmericaThere was no access to the pool in the day time because of the construction. It should have been stated online before arrival. Also, before booking it should have stated it is operated privately through a third party. There was no access to concierges or amneties because of this.
I liked the location of the property

United States of Americawhen booking this hotel we had NO idea that it was actually a privately managed unit (condominium basically) rather than a hotel room. The check in took me 1 hour because LSI resorts and Ala Moana hotel were not on the same page. they had to keep calling and faxing each other in order to just get us a room. The pictures online make the room look way too good when in reality the room was SO tiny and SO dirty. The baseboards were falling off the walls, the carpet and walls were stained everywhere. the iron was useless. The two chairs were also clearly stained I was grossed out and didn’t want to sit on them or even go barefoot. They only provided shampoo and body lotion which was extremely inconvenient as almost all hotels have shampoo, conditioner, and body soap (I specifically did not pack any for this reason). The room did have a sliding glass door that we were able to open but the view was a parking garage over an alley and another apartment building! Lastly the pool is only open til 7pm and there was no hot tub either. That was super unfortunate because we wanted to go night swimming. They are also currently doing construction so the pool is closed most of the day and construction barriers everywhere outside of the hotel and pool area.
The hotel itself was beautiful and spacious. It was also very clean and I loved that there were gift shops in the lobby and a Starbucks. We also loved that it was attached to the Ala Moana shopping center. The staff were very friendly and it was convenient to have a baggage drop at the bell desk.

United States of AmericaPoor staffing. Mold in the bathroom. Miss matched and inadequate amount of towels. It appeared that the staff was not really willing to make an effort helping out. Basic questions about the surroundings and or where thing's are in the hotel are poorly answered. I felt completely left on my own. I had to call several times and convince the young lady on the other side that I really needed the room cleaned, fresh sheets and stocked with new towels and coffee. Speaking of coffee, he sugar and cream packets were old and not usable. It appeared that it may have been wet at one point and hardened the content and spoiled it. I was rather ill for a day and a half because of it. When I pointed out the mold on the bathroom to the staff. I heard nothing in regards to an apology. As a matter of fact she only cleaned two square ft of a visible area and didn't finish it. Sneaking out, pretending all is well. I had to buy m own cleaning supplies and finish the job. No matter how self sufficient this concept is, this however is not acceptable.
Good view. Convenient location.

United States of AmericaI was upset due to o paid for an ocean view and when I checked in I received a city view. I called management for LSI properties and was told by supervisor that she would call me back and she never responded back. the hotel was beautiful but the room I stayed in was horrible and in major need of upgrades. I say if you want to stay at ala moana hotel, book through the hotel directly and not through LSI resort properties because they don’t seem to care for any thing but your money.
the hotel part was great. it was in a great location. close enough to walk to Waikiki but far enough that you didn’t have to deal with so much of a congested area.

United States of AmericaThis unit is in need of repairs for its rather dated furniture. Two of the six drawers of the dresser were broken and unusable. The towel racks in the bathroom are coming off of the walls, and one of 2 bedside lamps was missing the knob to turn it on. Aside from the repairs needed, the loveseat had several stains that were not pleasant to see.
The best thing about this unit was its location. It is conveniently close to restaurants, shopping, beach and busline. The area is okay for walking but with a walkable beach nearby, there is an alternative available. The hotel itself offers a range of shops and restaurants as well as a very comfortable lobby area.

United States of America1. Mandatory 'resort fee' for services I am unable to use. 2. Increasing room rates - inevitable, but still unpleasant, especially for Kama'aina.

United States of AmericaWith booking with booking.com its a private managed suit, so it extra for cleaning. Luckily the staff was nice to give us extra trash bags and pick up our trash. However whoever is in charge of flipping the room after the room is used did a poor job. There was a broken lap. Some weird dark stuff in the corner and the sheets were not properly cleaned. I had to wash them just in case in the hotel washer. We also requested for a king bed and got two full beds. Which worked in our favor and out room was a t tad bigger.
It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and right next to the shopping center. Where there is restaurants and stores at easy access. Parking was $30 a night where others was $80. Overall the hotel itself was nice. If I were to stay at this hotel again, I would probably book with the hotel.

GuamLove the fact that this hotel has a bridge that connects to Ala Moana mall which I only found out on my last day in Hawaii. The restrooms are clean! The hotel lobby is bright and spacious. Love that the fact they have Starbucks on the first floor and a convenient store right next door. The side rooftop has a gorgeous view during sunset. My favorite part about this hotel has to be hotel gym and hotel gyms are not my favorite but this one has the necessities. Everything surrounding Ala Moana is within walking distance. All you need is Ala Moana mall, Don Quixote, and the beach.
