Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The property was very well maintained, beach chairs and towels supplied which is amazing. It was our first time visiting the property, but most guests we chatted with were returning vacationers. Only comment would be that our mattress could be upgraded. Will return for sure.

Room and property very clean and well maintained. Pool was great, they even have tubes and beachchairs for guests to use. There is a nice courtyard with loungers and BBQ. Beach and View are Beautiful. The couple running motel very friendly.

The property is directly on the beach, they provide beach chairs and towels, all staff are very helpful and care for every customer. We will definitely choose it again for our stays.

I wish it was a little closer to the beach. However, all the motels along this strip are within walking distance of the beach but it is a hefty walk.
Location. Its an older motel, It is not fancy however, it is very clean and the owners are very pleasant and go out of their way to please their guests.

The beds were not comfortable.
The place has been around for a while, has that 50’s vibe. The location is walkable to stores and to John’s Pass.

The location is wonderful, just a sandy path from the beach and a walk to the Pass and other great restaurants. The owners take immaculate care of their place and are super friendly! It's not fancy but it's clean, safe, comfortable and on the beach! We were very appreciative of the great beach chairs we were able to borrow as well!

My only advice is to add some curtains. I liked that the outside of the rooms were well lit at night but that light comes into the room with only blinds.
This is a true hidden gem and was everything I expected. The staff was welcoming and so accommodating. The room was clean and I felt safe. The facilities were fun and the pool was heated. The location is perfect, just steps to the beach without having to cross a busy street. They offered me towels and chairs. I highly recommend Beachside. I did not want to stay in a high rise resort.

Just off the beach, free beach chairs to use, heated pool, nicely renovated, good kitchen facilities, very comfortable bed, very accommodating, friendly and helpful staff. A selection of restaurants are located nearby.

Such a lovely place. The unit (efficiency) was huuuuge! Also super clean and with all the bits and pieces you'd want for a self-catered stay. The service was great - I turned up early for check-in and they turned around my room so quickly so I could get in rather than hanging around. The location was also excellent - right on the beach, close to a big supermarket and restaurants and walkable to St John's Pass. Good WiFi and lots of cable channels (if you watch TV, I don't really but good to have)

The parking lot is small as they cut it off to add a swimming pool. There aren’t a lot of extras: no breakfast or exercise equipment. But with the room setup breakfast was easy to make. And who needs a treadmill when the beach is a few feet away.
This is a clean, well maintained motel. It is right on the beach. The room had a table and chairs, a small fridge and microwave. There is a small kitchen sink and some dishes. The staff was very helpful.
