The only thing I would have liked was a better view of the city. I stayed at the third floor, my window kind of faced another building

There was a dark dirt spot on our white sheets in which we spoke to the front desk about. They dropped off new sheets but did not take the dirty sheets off nor made the bed with the new sheets. For the price of the stay, I would have hoped to have the staff help change the sheets to ensure they are clean vs. asking the guest to.

Location is amazing! The night atmosphere in the lobby is wonderful with the bar and music.

the common area bathroom was a little dirty. maybe that was related to the fact that the Lola palooza festival took place in Chicago that weekend. a lot of party folks in the hotel. the common areas were way too cold (A/C) but that’s a general US related topic.

the location was great to explore down town. we also loved the pool table and the bar with Happy Hour.

My room has used tissues in my room and crumbs all over then floor and I later discovered that the shower wall was dirty which made me feel dirty.

The room was quite small.

The room was very clean. The staff was quite helpful and they held my bags for some hours after my checkout which was very nice.

Reception staff was not the happiest… and the parking charge was very high but typical for the area.

The barn door for the bathroom wasn’t too practical. Could hear everything throughout the room.

Property was very close to mag mile. Room was fairly big and comfortable. Staff was very friendly at check-in and check-out, they stored our luggage until we were ready to leave.

AC unit was pretty loud. A couple of the bath towels would better be described as rags - long past useful life at a hotel. Some stains on ceiling and chips out of paint on wall.

Great location just 2 blocks off Michigan Ave. Lots of food options nearby - loved Beatrix for breakfast and Nando's for lunch or dinner. Inviting lobby/bar area. Responsive staff at front desk.

Too many noises overnight, we were near a service door which seemed to be used quite a lot at all times. Bathroom door was not actually a door, so you could basically hear and feel everything going on inside while being in the room.

Bathroom door is "barn door" style and doesn't close all the way, is also very noisy so if you're sharing your room, it's impossible to use the restroom without waking them up! Also, wish the hotel had a full restaurant.

Excellent location, lovely lobby that we enjoyed spending time in during a rainy weekend, clean and modern room aesthetic.

Walking distance to mag mile strip/river walk. Far enough where we weren’t in the busy touristy areas. Great view of the city and minimal to no noise! Able to get a late check out.

It was the Chicago marathon weekend so price went up a lot (but that's just how it is). Pretty busy during that weekend.

Great location, close to many shops and restaurants (and donuts!). Convenient location if you are running the Chicago marathon - around 1.2 mile to the starting line so it's an easy warm up jog to get there. The riverwalk and lake side path are great for running and it's easy to get to from the hotel. They have free coffee in the mornings at the lobby.

They have a every other day room cleaning, which it was not informed until we got there. Then they forgot to do a cleaning one day. The HVAC thermostat works with a sensor, so it turns off when you are sleeping, and the room gets hot. Water pressure its not great.

the valet was one of the worst services I've ever experienced at a Marriot in all my years of traveling. They caused us to be late on more than one occasion as we had to track them down to get our car (often down the alley hanging with friends), or the fact there was no other guest waiting and it still took 20-30 minutes to get the car. I didn't appreciate paying $65 a day for such horrible service. When I tried to ask how long getting the car would take so I could properly prepare, they didn't understand my question. They never helped with bags. When asking front staff for help on this and other unrelated questions, they appeared to be pretty helpless and didn't feel it was their responsibility to solve. Overall, not at all worth the value.

I liked the downstairs vibe. I appreciated the free coffee set up and the ability to order food. The lobby was comfortable and nice. The location was fantastic.
