The room was a bit sparse in terms of hooks to hang towels and decor a bit outdated, but not a problem.

Great location and friendliness of the staff. Also loved the size of our room for our group Also loved all the windows and the natural light.

Online we understood small pets could stay for free…this hotel charged us an extra $50. Our dog is less than 20 lbs…this was the sour note for our trip.

Location, location, and location…right next to venue.

Dreary hallways. Guess they are renovating but it’s awful looking. Rooms are clean but too modern for my taste. Seems cold and not welcoming

    Convenient to DPAC.

There were renovations taking place which further added to a sterile atmosphere. Nothing warm and fuzzy about Aloft.

The location was perfect for having been in Durham to attend a performance at the DPAC.

Furnishings, carpet need to be updated. There was only one ottoman in front of the sofa (that served as a table) and it was very worn. No table to eat at in room, with all the extra space, it would have been nice to have a small table with two chairs.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. Always said hello when we entered and exited the lobby. Location was excellent! We stayed to go to the DPAC and it was so convenient. Room was very clean, spacious, loved the view! Also, lots of restaurants within walking distance.

The booking stated that breakfast was included, but there was no free breakfast. Also, I had requested adjoining or at least neighboring rooms. I was told that adjoining rooms did not exist, but this wasn’t true. The room that we were given did have an adjoining room, but we were not given that room, or even a neighboring room. Our second room was down the hall. Also, the front desk clerk made multiple mistakes when programming our room keys requiring me to make multiple trips back downstairs to get it corrected while my family had to wait in the hall locked out of both our rooms late at night after a long day.

The property was clean and well-maintained.

We could not get our heat/air regulated. The system ran all day/night and never shut off. It would blow out cold than hot. It didn't matter what we put temperature on. The furniture was outdated, uncomfortable and our ottoman's leather/fabric was torn off

no actual restaurant, actual room design/decor was quite bleak, and the sound of the freight train in the mornings sounding its horn is something I won’t miss.

staff couldn’t do enough, Mike the barman was exceptional and the lovely breakfast cook (didn’t get his name) were awesome, but literally all the staff were great. Room was large, shower was great, gym small but perfectly formed.

slightly frustrating that on the first morning the chef didn’t turn up for breakfast so we had to go elsewhere. great that the hotel suggested another place though. nonetheless, that cost me $25 which I wouldn’t have had to spend if the hotel breakfast had materialised.

Parking is very hard to understand during events when there are cones everywhere, and it really shouldn't cost so much to park, especially at the rate of the rooms.

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the bathrooms were clean and spacious. We were there on a Friday and there was a small band playing in the lobby. That was fun.
