Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaA very brief time where there was no hot water. When I called the front desk they apologized for the inconvenience and explained the situation. The woman said she’d check to see how much longer it would be and call me back. When she called me back she said it should be working now and it was.
It was clean and comfortable. They had a cafe and bar in the lobby. Very friendly staff.

United States of AmericaThe walls between the rooms must be paper thin because I could literally hear my neighbors’ voices. It might have been because it was an adjoining room. Also a glass of wine in their lobby bar was $15!
Nice room and lobby. Stylish and fun environment.

United States of AmericaFront desk attendant didn't know if there was an onsite laundry room. Didn't know where the ice was or if there was ice. Every question we asked he didn't know or was very unsure of his answers. Room had ants in the windowsill! Curtin was broken. Knowing I had a dog with me and knowing I am w/c bound and knowing we had a hurricane coming and that we were evacuating.......why would you put me on the 3rd floor????? Electricity went out and we had no way to get food in the morning or walk the dog. My husband has had 2 heart attacks and is 71. He is unable to go up 3 flights of stairs. I was already scared of the storm coming up our way.
It had nice beds and pillows. Very quiet.

United States of AmericaI was expecting a lot more from this hotel. It was our first time at an Aloft and will be our last. The trendy design of the room looks cool but it’s not practical. The room itself is quite small and contained a bed, some countertops, and one chair. So at least one of us had to sit on the bed – which creaked loudly. The windows were filthy (so much for the “city view”). There were no drawers for our things – everything was out in the open. The design is such that you can’t turn the bathroom light on without also illuminating the bedroom, which doesn’t allow for two people to be considerate of each other. The bathroom was terrible. Lighting was not good for applying makeup. A heavy mirrored door between the sink and toilet/shower space was clunky and noisy. The shower was set up so that there’s no way to turn the water on without reaching under the spray, so you get blasted with cold water. The hotel-provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash was affixed to the shower wall above the faucet, so you have to reach through the flowing water to use it. And there are no nooks or shelves in the shower to place your own products if you prefer to use them. Towel racks were limited and not well-placed. We were there three nights. When I made the reservations, the site said that my choice for housekeeping service was every other day or not at all. I checked every second day. When housekeeping came by after our first night, it wasn’t convenient for us, and we asked them to come back the next day. They didn’t—and when we saw a member of the housekeeping staff in the hall, he said we weren’t on his list.
Most of the employees we engaged with were helpful and charming. There is plenty of open common areas for people to gather in outside their rooms. The facility is pet-friendly and even had a dog that is available for adoption.
