To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaThe only concern was the noise. We were on floor 11 and could still hear noise from the street so the soundproofing could be better. We could also hear noise from other guests outside so that was a little disruptive.
This resort is very central to Waikiki. You are just a few steps away from the heart of Waikiki. The room was beautiful. We had an ocean view room with a balcony and it was amazing!

It was in the centre of Waikiki, which was walking distance from all the major attractions, shopping strips and Waikiki beach. We had the King Partial Ocean View room on the top level, which had great views of both the ocean and the city from the corner room. Concierge team was very helpful.

IndonesiaThey provide housekeeping services every other day, but we may opt into their Go Green Program and receive $15 food & beverage credit for each day service is refused. We were supposed to get $30 credit, but when we wanted to use it, they had a problem with the system, so they said they would reimburse after we paid to the restaurant. At first they said they would give cash reimbursement, but then they said it would be credited to our credit card after we gave them copy of the receipt. Until now we haven't got any reimbursement, so disappointing.
The reception area is pretty big and nice and always busy with so many guests since the price is one of the most affordable in that area. They have some restaurants and stores (even ABC stores!). It's really convenient to buy something for breakfast or snacks. They even provide free refill water station near the elevator on the ground floor. Our room is quite basic and not too big, but we get everything we need . Bed is very comfy, and they give many pillows too.

AustraliaThere was some construction going on next to the pool area which disturbed the peace a little. When we stayed, ‘the system’ was down so they could only give us one room key between the two of us which was a bit annoying but we coped.
This place is really beautiful! Pay the small price to upgrade for ocean views and you won’t regret it. The gym and rooftop workout space were well maintained. The oceanarium in the lobby is so peaceful. Great location and everything you need at your fingertips.
