Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

After checking out and picking up my deposit I noticed I was missing $20.00. I was then advised by the receptionist that the $20 was kept for doing my reservation through booking. I find that very inconvenient. I wasn't notified of this extra charge which made my complete savings completely vanish. Please this needs to be in bold.letters so customers are aware of the extra charge

Breakfast is no longer served I think they should start serving breakfast again. The shower head 🚿 was not working. They had 2 convenience fees both online when I reserved and then again when I arrived to check in 🤨
Breakfast should be served again, facility has the cafeteria but they stopped serving breakfast due to covid. The shower 🚿 head was not working, the bath tub was only available for bathing, although it was a new experience for me using the jets in the bathtub it was a bit 😌 relaxing. I didn't like that they had 2 different convenience fees of $10 each both online when I reserved and then again at the property.

The floor in our room was filthy. The security fee was $150. The guy checking us in just seemed annoyed.
The room was a great size for our family. Having a fridge was great.

The sheets look dirty. They don't put a sheet between the duvet covers. It was plain nothing covering the duvet. To me that was pretty unsanitary
There was no breakfast, but yet they charge you 10 dollars extra for amenities a day. What I did like was the location

When I booked the room I was reserved for $131 which included a $10 tax fee and other fees. When I check in I was charged $141. I asked why and was told that it was for the $10 tax fee which I informed them that it was included in my booking and showed them the reservation but they did not accept my confirmation. There was not soap to wash your hands and they did not want to give us extra towels.
There was no breakfast available. I only stayed there because it was close to my grandmothers house.

On top of over paying for a room they wanted $20 cleaning fee so their went the tip for the maid, hope she got it. Then $150 deposit that is supposed to be reimbursed to me and here it is on day 2 and I still have not got $150 back. I don't appreciate hidden fees after driving for hours and not knowing where else to stay, I just paid it. Now I am short on cash for my trip...not happy. Next time I will rent Airbnb.

they charged extra for customer service $10 per night, a cleaning service $10 per night , and on top of that a $30 charge per night for having my 5 lb dog . i stayed for three nights, so definitely added up!!

What I didn’t like was the shower water all over the floor. The tv would would disconnect, sometimes no service. No breakfast just some honeybun and coffee.
The property was a safe location. Everything is close by.

Everything.....
I didn't really like anything , the rooms showed it had a love seat and microwave that wasn't the case the chair that was in room you couldn't even sit on it . It was filthy and stained the bathrooms look dirty i had to go to store and sanitize room again it said pool was open it wasn't open the way they explained online .

Everything could have been better.
The pool was ok, but couldn't access it without a staff member, and they were absent for hours at a time.
