Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room made me itch just being in there. The bed was entirely too soft. The sheet didnt fit the mattress. The room felt moist and gross. It was just terrible
The only thing nice about this place was the fromt desk clerk

For the price it was good enough.
The room was clean enough. Water was hot. Staff was accommodating and friendly. TV worked well. Glad to have an inexpensive option for a night or two.

Our Bathroom had an awful smell coming from it and if you turned the vent on it made the whole room smell. Plus the floor infront of the toilet was caving in We had a chair but no table to our food on.
We did not eat breakfast.

There was no breakfast, my TV & internet went in and out the offered to switch me to a different room I was just too tired. The staff that checked me in Brandy was great. It is decent for the price, but I did stay alone with my son and a lot of police there in the 2 nights I stayed so that made me nervous. Room was clean staff very helpful. I was accidentally double charged and am still waiting on a refund for that, but once again staff was helpful

The room I reserved online was not available when we arrived. They had a different room available. We accepted it. The beds were very very uncomfortable. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathroom floor felt very nasty to walk on. The sink outside of the bathroom leaked. The pipes was not connected together.

T.v. could turn on, but no channels. Had to go back to adjust room twice before i was given one, in that same process, whether intentional or not, i felt like i was treated like a child after first room was unresponsive to keys, second time around i was given a room that someone else already had (didnt know each other) and finally getting the third one he checked the room to make sure it worked, which is fine, but it almost seemed like he thought it was my incompetence, and not that the specific location is not complete, nor quality. Roads were just finished, so maybe soon they will start building and repairing things to make the location better.

The only issue I had with our stay was an older woman sleeping on the ground at the end of our building and the manager telling her to move about 400 feet away behind another companys building she had all her belongings to carry and was 70 years old she couldn't carry all this things that far she had been there all day and night not bothering anyone my husband helped her move her things a little farther away the manager could have used a little compassion in my opinion!

The bathroom sink faucets were loose and moving all around the sink when trying to turn the knobs on and off. The bathtub cold water knob was loose also. The entrance door was a bit hard to open (stuck in the frame).
Did not have breakfast. Location was near to the event we were attending.

Nasty rooms smell hottub in room would make loud noise as if it was draining and having trouble I never use touch it scared the crape out me and had to switch three different room and still was nit satisfied because of the cleanliness need new management or close no one should be staying there

Supposed to be HANDICAP ACCESSABLE. they called to offer us an upgraded double queen. It was FILTHY. The surfaces were dusty and has sticky stuff under the dust. My Clorox wipe was BLACK. Bedding ok. Got spider bite ony neck. Not to mention having to have my wife's assistance into the shower. Major let down. And we expected messy. This was comical.
