Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere's not much they can do about this given the age of the building, but just be aware that there are no elevators. No real complaints otherwise.
Great staff. Masuma was able to check me in early and in a better room than I booked (because of a no-show). Room actually had a nice view of the downtown LA skyline through the window. The room itself was nice. Comfortable bed, plenty of space, big fridge, TV. More than enough for a solo tourist. Bathrooms are shared, important to know that before booking, but there are several on the floor and they were very clean. The location is top tier. The neighborhood is lively and safe, with lots of restaurants/bars nearby. The light rail station is about a 5-10 minute walk away, so you can easily travel to other parts of the city.

FranceWe had a warm welcome by Masuma, who kindly checked us in earlier, which was a great comfort. The location and the room was ok, although the cleanliness of the bathroom could be a bit better.

United States of AmericaThere's no elevator. I stayed at 4th floor and I have to carry my luggage using the stairs. The Aircondition was not working properly. The filter gets iced for few hours of operation.

United States of AmericaThe window air conditioner cycled off and on during the night pretty frequently. We got used to it by the 2nd night. Shared bathroom was clean, but felt a little exposed.
Clean hotel with comfortable beds and good water pressure showers! Surprisingly little street noise. Easy check in and check out, great location, and affordable. I would stay here again.

AustraliaA breakfast.
Room had all the facilities the Safe being a bonus. I was aware of shared bathrooms and they were the cleanest i saw in stopping in 7 other hotels. Office staff happy to help with minor inquires and a godsend when checking in and out. Location was 5 mins from the metro station brisk walk and 1 stop from Union Station the main hub of the transport in LA. At night has it's night live which also flows to the hotel with it's area being safe at night. For more intensive night life is about 15 minutes away walking .Thank you Masuma and Moises for a great stay.

SwitzerlandThe doors are not insulated and are very noisy. Being a hotel with shared bathrooms, noise can be heard until late and early in the morning. The air conditioning is also very noisy. But it wasn't so hot that you had to use it.
In the centre of the art district and close to the Japanese district. Free parking nearby, though difficult to find.

United KingdomObviously none of the rooms have any plumbing. Bit the bathrooms are easily accessible and well kept. But just be aware. There also aren’t bins in the rooms but there are easily accessible ones in the halls.
A lovely well kept and good value hotel. It’s right in the middle of Downtown and really close to the metro line of you need to get around without a car (not easy in LA). There’s also a great little corner store on the same block and Little Tokyo market just round the corner.
