To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaIt was not clean. There were bugs in the room and the bathroom. The heater was smelly when I turned it on. The fan in the bathroom was not working. The room did not offer bottled water. I could always hear people talking and walking outside of my door at night, which did not make me feel safe at all.
The staff was nice. The location was good. The bed was comfortable.

United States of AmericaIt was quite frustrating the shower had no hot water, and I was forced to move to a different room, which also had no hot water! This caused a lot of stress which affected my sleep. Finally the front desk was able to check the central boiler room and got the water hot. There are always some homeless or drug addict loitering at the property which was a bit scary.

United States of AmericaI don’t like to be too negative in comments and like to say at least something positive like nice staff or good location. However, microwave wasn’t clean inside, no breakfast, the rooms don’t have remotes for the TV’s. I requested one from one of the staff and 40 mins later still waiting. I go to reception & get a remote but it has to be tuned to the TV in my room, which of course doesn’t work. The place is a bit run down and not sure why it’s part of the Days Inn by Wyndham. I know these are franchises, but don’t they audit?

United States of AmericaThe tub/shower needs re caulking & a new shower head. The coffee pot didn’t work, toilet was clogged & I had to ask for a tv remote. There was none in the room. At the end of day staff was very noisy with slamming of door to their housekeeping room & gathering near my room speaking & laughing too loud.
The room was clean, a little dusty by the table lamps, bed was comfortable. Bathroom could use a facelift. The property is at the fringes of the downtown area.
