Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The staff chose to put chemicals in the pool in the morning so none of the children could swim. We paid for a hotel until 11am check out time. The chemicals should have either been put in at midnight when swimming is closed or at 11am between check out and check in time for the next stayers. This was very frustrating for all the families! The staff was very rude about the situation on Saturday morning.

When booking says has a bath and shower. It only had a shower, also says fireplace in the room. There was not a fireplace in the room.

Internet said hot tub and pool were available and we stayed extra day just for hot tub and it was out of service.
Location was great , breakfast was good and staff were nice.

Asked for handicap accessible. Only left was on 2 nd floor. This doesn’t make sense. What if the elevator didn’t work? I wouldn’t been able to get down stairs. We did make reservations. Desk said they had only 2 handicap available. However there were several handicap parking spots

Whirlpool not working, but pool was open. Stains on room chairs and carpet. Didn't ask me about my next stay at checkout as I am a business traveler.
Clean rooms, courteous staff, nice variety at breakfast and well stocked, quiet location..no noise in room from outside. Quick and prompt checkout.

The breakfast was just ok. The price for what you get is pretty high. Several things "under construction"/broken at the facility. Some of those could have just been picked up (stone on the face of the building laying on the sidewalk) and it would have at least been cleaned up.
The breakfast was ok, nothing great but ok. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The location of this hotel is close to the interstate and not far from the main hub of town. I would stay there again.

The pub isn't quite a pub...very limited food items that can be air fried, but at the end of a very long day, I ate there. Lighting in rooms could be improved.
Beds were very comfortable. Very clean. Excellent breakfast.

The rooms are only cleaned every 3 days so we had to ask for towels every day (the towels provided were: a small hand towel and a small bath towel). We stayed 4 nights and it would have been nice to have room refreshed. We were in the room on day 3 when they came to clean, they offered to come back later but we decided there was no point as we were packing up ready to check out the next morning. The location is not central.
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The cost for this hotel was more expensive than other hotels in the area, but I thought it would be worth paying a bit more and have a swimming pool/gym/spa. Unfortunately this was closed for half of our stay, which was disappointing. The gym had a treadmill and cross-trainer in a small room within the pool area (which could not be accessed when the pool was closed). Complimentary self service breakfast was provided. There was a good selection of items to choose from omelette, bagels, muffins, cereals, yogurt, fruit and coffee/juice. There was a guest laundry room, which was really useful as we had stayed somewhere else prior. We used this to do some washing. Staff provided the change needed but not laundry products. Plenty of parking available.

Website advertised a bar with food. there was a bar (beer and wine only), but no food.

The bathtub was so slick I couldn't get out without using a towel for traction, it was funny but also kind of scary, I thought I would have to call the front desk to help me out.
The location was perfect, I was two blocks from my destination The breakfast waffles were amazing!! I'll be back for sure
