The room was missing a hand soap in the bathroom and a TV despite them being in featured in the room’s photos and description. It would be nice if the room had a hand towel in the bathroom too.

The hostel is walkable to attractions and about a 15-minute walk to Powell Street station, making it well-connected to other areas like Serramonte. Towels and linens were also provided during our stay. We like that the ensuite bathroom came equipped with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The property also had a water refill station on the first floor, along with vending machines for snacks and drinks.

Location, 15 to 20 mins walk to China Town and Little Italy restaurants. Near main bus routes. 15 mins walk from BART Train to Airport Bunk beds comfy.

It is a hostel so you have to be comfortable to share rooms and or bathrooms. I didn't have a negative experience there, but I also only stayed there to sleep 2 nights.

The beds were clean and the bathroom too, if you are on a low budget it is a great hostel. The location is very convenient.

Staff really didn’t care or make any effort to welcome us. The walls were very thin and you could hear people in the hallway as well as the plumbing throughout the building. Parking is offsite, and cost for overnight parking was $40. The cost they shared with us was listed for less money, and when I told staff the prices went up and the company changed, they fully lied to my face and said the parking company changes all the time. When I spoke to the parking staff prior they said their company changed a year ago. I really felt like the staff didn’t care about us and it put a damper on the experience. People seemed to smoke directly in front of the stairs/entrance and it was gross having to walk through it.

Although the bathrooms were really nice and the soaps were lovely- the shower head was positioned really awkwardly and couldn’t be adjusted. The water kinda sprayed horizontally rather than downwards and couldn’t be altered. That was the only fault.

Naturally, one must accept some compromise when sharing a 6 man dormitory, but this goes part and parcel with hostel living and keeping the travel costs down. Not the most inspiring of locations, but a good base to return to after exploring the city. I think I might splash out on a single (non sharing) room if I revisit.

Clean and well maintained. Cheapest in the area I believe. Friendly people there too. Good facilities.

My only gripe was the kitchen closing between 10pm and 8am. As an early riser I had to keep pestering staff to let me have early access since I’m usually up by about 5 or 6am. I think this is more to do with preventing noise, maybe they’ve had some troublesome guests in the past. The kitchen also needs a restock of cups and cutlery. But apart from this I can’t fault the place.

Just about on the right side of Tenderloin. Perfect location for getting just about anywhere in the city. Lots of shops/markets/bars within vicinity. Dormitories are larger than average, plenty of space for suitcases etc. Bring a lock for the storage drawers under the beds. Clean and modern. Wi-Fi worked well. There were quite a few extra bathrooms/showers too. Also a laundry room. Didn’t seem to be a party hostel - most of the guests I met were aged 30 plus. For the price, it’s a bargain. Would stay again.

Staff were very loud all night. I think it was the cleaning crew. We had to hear their echoing voices all night. We also got put next to the kitchen (we stayed in two different rooms) which was also so loud at night and in the morning. If it weren't noisy, I'd recommend this place. Staff don't seem willing to actually enforce quiet at night. Also, good luck finding affordable parking.

I didn't like that there was trash accumulated behind the bunkbeds. The place looked clean in general but it can be better. Also, the toilet paper holder fell on the floor in most bathrooms I used which was a bit uncomfortable. The very last day I stayed I saw a tiny mouse running through the corridor. I thought it was funny at first but then I came to my senses and now I feel like they could put more emphasis in that aspect.

I think its location is great. They have a kitchen which is open most of the day and offer free coffee which is amazing. The toilets were clean and the beds are comfortable. I really appreciate I could ask for new bedsheets and towels whenever I needed it. Staff was friendly :)

The place, like most hostels, can be a little loud. The bedding I was given was not the cleanest and there was evidence of some extensive water damage in the shower. The staff, while pleasant and helpful, were also a little opaque at first having told me I needed $20 cash as a security deposit only to then tell me I could simply leave my ID with them instead.

The staff were very pleasant. You're pretty deep into the city but you feel safe. The hostel isn't too far from the nearest BART stop so the walk up the steep SF terrain was only mildly challenging with all my luggage in hand. Good value for the money

It was good for the price, looked clean, but there was a constant smell in the room. No elevator, and the stairs really high. Staff was nice. The location is great, but many homeless nearby.
