Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

People walking around outside my window the curtains could be shut all the way. Alot of shady people living there

Buildings very outdated. Bathroom needed an update or renovations.
Conveniently located near Rt81. The bed was very comfortable. It had a microwave and small fridge.

The handle on the shower faucet was loose.
Right off the highway, next to several eateries. Facilites were budget but comfortable and clean. Shampoo, soap etc provided. Good water pressure.

The paint peeling on the ceiling.smell of mold in the room.The blinds didn't cover entire window so I had to put something up.Need to have curtains on the windows.The mattress is ok,but you can feel the springs. Floors a little dirty around the beds.
Big bathrooms. The front desk managers were very nice.very quiet after hours. Very good location for food.people are friendly that stay there.

Being on the third floor it would have been good to have an elevator. Didn’t have an ice machine. Appeared some guess are permanent residence. There were signs stating no smoking but several guests were on the walkways smoking.
The property was right off the interstate.

The location was nice. We had to change rooms because the first one that was given was filthy and smelled like an ashtray! I complained right away and they changed rooms into a much cleaner room, however the cleaner they used smelled nasty and cheap. I should have brought a can of Lysol with me.

I found the facility difficult to find since it is tucked away. Part of the problem might be that my GPS located it about a quarter mile away. There was no telephone in the room, so there was no direct way to communicate with the desk I had no cell phone, so I had to walk around to the reception desk. There was no alarm clock in the room. Bathroom had some screw protruding from wall opposite the mirror/sink where something had been taken out.
The price was right and the staff was helpful. I'm still not sure how much I was charged or will be charged. There was a security deposit that I understood to be refundable. I paid it on by debit card, but it still has not cleared. Neither have I been billed for my stay. I was only there for a couple of hours because I had to leave due to a health problem. I fully understand that I may be charged for one night, but that hasn't shown upon as a charge against my debit card.

Large space at bottom of door needed weather stripping. Location was poor. You only get what you pay for.
Front desk staff was excellent. Room was redone. New top mattress and paint. Old furniture was updated.

The room was wasn't very clean. I could tell that it had been cleaned since the last guest, but it hadn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. There were a few bugs, a few stains on the bed sheets and the floors/walls. The stairs and parking lot were also pretty dingy but we needed to travel on an extreme budget so that was all to be expected. It didn’t make the room unbearable by any means and we still slept comfortably.
The staff was super friendly. The price was great. The room was spacious and conveniently had a mini fridge, which I was surprised by. The location was close to where we needed to be and close to food, gas, the highway and most importantly, a cute coffee drive through.
