Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaBoth my companion and I almost took out our ankles on the step in front of the door. That really needs fixing. Covering it up actually made it worse. If we return, we'll try and get a room away from the main street.
The location was close to Whiskey Row. Plenty of shops & restaurants in that area. The room was comfortable and relaxing. It was cold and snowing one of the days, so we just hung out in the room. This room had a small table for eating and a couch, so it was perfect being stuck inside.

United States of AmericaCons: No dresser. Even one of those small ones with fabric boxes would have worked. There was no place to sit and watch TV except for metal kitchen chairs or the bed. There were also no surfaces to speak of besides a 30" x 18" table. The little porch also had a little table with small, uncomfortable chairs, which I brought into the room. No curtains or sheers. Just some Joanna Gaines type corrugated shutters that are either completely closed or wide open. Smelled a bit musty. The only blanket was a king-sized comforter. I am always suspicious of bedding that isn't easily washed. But it was summer, and there was no need for anything but a throw, which I brought from home.
The 8+ review had me a little baffled. I would have guessed 7.5, but perhaps the pretty little courtyard earns this place the extra points. If you rent it, bring hangers, paper towels, soap, and comfortable pillows, oh, and your Roku or Firestick if you want to watch movies. The Direct TV did offer a lot of channels. The tiny shower features a rainhead. I'm 5'6" and it was about 5" above my head. Overall, the place has the feel of a quaint little mom n pop motel. I felt like it was fair for the price. Pros: The courtyard is lovely. The bed was comfortable for me, but I love a very firm mattress. The pillows were about as hard as a seat pad. The coffeemaker works, and there is a gas stove. Decent, quiet location. Good wifi connection. The room was very clean. The quiet depends on the neighbors, of course. Lots of hot water.

United States of AmericaI didn't care for the shutters on the windows. They were clumsy to use and a little hazardous as they could swing open. The windows could use a good wash. We needed to ask for the wifi password.
Very comfortable bed, nice upgraded bathroom. The common area was wonderful. Very lush grass, many blooming roses, shady and quiet.

United States of AmericaI would change this section name to things I would do differently: Bring your own pillows. :) I was in the king room, and there are four of them but they are a bit stiff. The driveway is not paved. Not a problem except when it rains. So when there is bad weather - be prepared for a bit of muddy (not a driving problem, but a messy at the door problem - you can take your shoes off outside, though. There is a patio with cover.) Smoking is allowed outside not inside, which I do not like, but luckily there wasn't a lot of smoking on property while I was there. (I prefer no smoking at all.) I prefer a firm mattress, so the bed was just a bit soft for those out there who also prefer firm. Also, bring paper towels.
Everything. The convenience of location, the vibe (the property is beautiful and quaint), assigned parking, respectful guests, quiet hours, I felt safe, privacy when needed, clean. I would definitely return and also recommend.
