The bathtub area could use some TLC - the pool area looks pretty shabby, hopefully will be brought back to "summertime fun" standards??

We tried to follow the directions that were given to us to open the combination lock box on the wall for 10 minutes without success. Called the help number and got voicemail. No one was on site to help. Finally saw another guest who told us that the lock box didn’t work on our door and that the actually door knob lit up when touched so you could input in the combination. A few minutes later we had to tell another couple how to get into their room, too. No hair dryer, no microwave in room. The pool area is cordoned off-no swimming as the concrete was broken up to remodel the pool. For $500 for 2 nights (including a $47.50 pet fee for cleaning-the actual floor in the room was filthy dirty not having been mopped for a long time and stained my socks-we have a small 5 pound dog), it was way overpriced! We’ve stayed here before but we’re disappointed this time.

We only stayed for one night, and it was raining and foggy, so we did not have a chance to explore the surroundings fully. We did like the area, and Rhonda, the bartender at the pizza place across the highway, was awesome.

The housekeeping could be better. I asked for new sheets but they just made bed. A couple of dirty towels left behind. Floors were dirty.

Great location. Comfortable bed. Just a few minutes outside of Jullian. Has some great restaurants within walking distance. Owners are very helpful and professional. We were having problems with TV but they came and helped us fix the issue.

Noisy. Rooms are not well isolated at all, you can hear your neighbour snoring! It is located next to the main road too.

We were disappointed the pool was still under construction, it would have been nice to have known in advance as it was a very hot weekend and a cool dip would have been refreshing.

Room was comfortable and conveniently located near restaurants and other attractions. Much less crowded than if we were to stay in the town of Julian. For being located next to the main road it was very quiet.

we always like staying here but sometimes its a hit or miss. We've come twice now where the pool is out of service. both times in the summer. I guess we missed the VERY fine print of it saying its closed on the site but to my defense it would be nice if that warning was larger as that is a large part as to why we wanted to come to apple tree was for it pool. I guess at least they listed it though right!? Anyways, the rooms are always nice and the staff are accommodating and keep to themselves and let you do the same. Heroes restaurant across the street is always a win.

The toilet paper was almost gone and there wasn't an extra roll. Bed was smaller than a queen.

They sent me a text instructions on how to obtain my key from a lock box. it only said **Please Read** when it popped up, so I thought it was spam and didn’t open it. When I got to the property there was no one in the office so I called. They asked if I had received their text and I said I hadn’t and they were going to send someone over. I then checked my texts and found it and called them back to not come. It would have been far better if they had put **Apple Tree Inn** at the top of the text so I would have known it was legitimate and opened it.

I had to get used to not having the door lock itself. I ended up leaving it unlocked for quite some time. Maybe a note saying to use key to lock door when leaving and when inside to lock deadbolt.

Not actually in Julian, 3 miles west in Wynona. Also, no one in the front desk, have to text manager. Strangest part was that you only get one key per room and the door only locks from the inside by using the key.

Beds were comfy, room was spacious and clean. Great bar & grill (Heroes) across the street ( closes @ 8 pm) with burgers, pizza, and live music when we stayed there. Also an awesome bakery and small coffee shop across the street for morning meals. There is also a fancy “Farm to Table” restaurant next door that looked expensive.

there could have been a reading light next to the bed when we arrived. I asked the next day and one appeared so the staff was responsive to my request.
