Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

People at the reception are very nice and helpful. Great communication, close to bus and trains. Free laundry.

United States of AmericaNo AC in the rooms so they got a bit warm at night and the bathroom always had this bad stench, but not horrible.
The building and facilities were clean and modern. The location is great; safe and located near the red line.

United States of AmericaCons (not really, but I didn't have anymore space): - the hotel is very big and there were only one women bathroom and one men bathroom on each floor, so you can be very far from yours. Bathrooms were different on each floor so if you don't like yours, you can try another one. On the second floor, women bathroom had 4 WC and 4 showers - 2 were private with a double door, so you can close with locker the first door and then enter the shower. On the first floor, it was just showers with curtains. I never had issues but I wonder how it goes when the hostal is full. - there is no private WC so if this is important to you, take the option of shared shower but private WC in the room. (half bathroom)
We stayed 4 nights as a couple and chose the private room with shared bathroom. Pros: - bed was comfortable, I didn't like the upper bed but I understand it can be useful if you don't want to share the bed with the other person. - very good public transportation around: 2 buses at 4 min walking, and the metro at 10-15 min walking. Only 15 min from Lincoln Zook park area. The neighorbhood was very quiet and beautiful. We felt totally safe walking around. - kitchen! when I booked, it said kitchen was open only from 7am to 8pm but it was from 7am to 12am, with no use of the stove after 9pm but still access to our stuff, microwave, toaster, hot water. I am a tea drinker and always travel with a water heater but it was not necessary as there was always access to hot water - just be sure to bring your own tea bag. - common areas were well maintained and it was nice to be able to rest in a sofa after a long day of tourism. Of course, "quietness" will depend if there are many people during the stay or not. - staff was super kind and very present. I didn't need their help in particular but I felt it was a nice place for young travelers or people without experience. I really had the feeling that if something bad happened, they would have helped. - not only for 20yo travelers. I was a bit afraid as i am not a party girl, but the public was really a bit of every age and I appreciated it (once again, it depends of course but it is my experience). I could see people our age, young students, elders traveling, and also people who came to Chicago for a baseball game and didn't want to spend too much in a hotel. I loved the mix.

Nice neigbourhood, close to Fullerton train station. The breakfast exceeded my expectations, it was really good despite they have almost only sweet options.

Saudi ArabiaIt mentioned that parking is available among the paid amenities. Instead, we either had to fight traffic to find a spot in a charge-free area, which was hell, or we had to pay 32 usd per night which is outrageous. Layout was not as agreed. The excuse was that our layout has been booked by someone who paid thru them, not Booking.com. Also, we were told from description and photos that lower bunk beds are larger, but it's not the case in one of the rooms booked.. Breakfast can use a better variety. At least add eggs...
Convenient location, close to Lincoln Park Zoo, and to the metro station

Excellent location. Very safe. We splurged on the private bathroom this time and it was nice. Very large shower. The room was large with 2 closets and lots of plugs. Common areas are very nice and plenty of space to relax, play pool, watch TV or visit. Basic breakfast but sufficient.

United States of AmericaThe bathroom had 2 sinks, but one of them was clogged and it was gross. Besides that our biggest problem was with the beds, they make SO MUCH noise. If you’re traveling alone and sleep in the same bunkbed as a person you don’t known it’s going to be really uncomfortable. I was traveling with my friends and still we couldn’t had a good night of sleep because of that.
The employees were really nice. We had a lot of bags so it was good that they have elevators. The breakfast was included. Private bathroom in my room. The room was big.

United KingdomIf I was being picky I could suggest that it would be nice if the breakfast finished a little later than 9:30 am for the late risers. In addition, I was in a 10-bed dorm with metal bunk beds and as a result, the bed could be noisy at points when moving about and getting into it. One thing I didn't like is that the women's restroom on the first floor as the showers only have material curtains and nowhere to get changed or put your dry stuff. However, if you go to the second floor the shower cubicles have separate locked areas for changing.
I enjoyed my stay at this hostel, it exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the free breakfast was simple but just what you would need with toast, juice, coffee etc. The kitchen was super clean and big and had everything you could need. On top of the kitchen, the hostel had a music room and TV room which were nice to chill in, do some work and meet new people. All the staff were super lovely and kept the place ticking beautifully, it was so lovely that at breakfast they would handle the washing up so travellers could go out and about. The bedrooms were really nice as well, I was in a 10-bed dorm but it had a max of 6 people in at one point and they were clean and spacious, the bed was comfy. The lockers were very big too, and could fit my cabin bag and rucksack in.
