Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI was charged from the credit card, despite I was already charged via booking.com. they did explain the reason, probably I didn't read the small print. It is still pending on my card (which I lost last day😱 on my way to airport).

IrelandThe room was a little on the small side and there were a lot of roadworks happening around the hotel itself which made for some sidewalk congestion, but I am really clutching at straws here to give negatives.
The location was fantastic, only a 10 min walk from Times Square. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I paid for an upgrade to avoid a corner room, and I was assigned the corner room anyway. When I called to reception to ask for a move, they did so without hesitation and even showed me room options. The shower was fantastic, really powerful and really warm. The complimentary use of an umbrella was a lovely touch. The smell in the foyer is gorgeous, it is their signature scent and it adds a level of sophistication to the place. The bar and restaurant area were really well styled with very friendly staff. We ate in the bar on one evening and the food was excellent and reasonably priced by New York Standards.

RomaniaWe paid for city view, but we didn't get one. I added a picture of the view, and you can decide if it is worth the few extra bucks. The room doesn't have enough lighting fixtures for nighttime or rainy days. The wifi doesn't work on androit phones, and I received a phone number for IT support, but no one answered.
We enjoyed the refurbished room and bathroom. It was clean and bed comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a small room, but we were aware of it.

LOCATION Excellent location few minutes walk from Times Sqare and main metro stations great to visit uptown, downtown and brooklyn as very good connections STAFF Very good staff, efficient and welcoming. HOTEL & ROOM The hotel is nice the rooftop magic (even if it was winter the view is nice). It is in excellent condition and well decorated. Room is well designed even ours was small (we knew that before no surprise) there was plenty of spaces to stow luggages, clothes... and the view on the building was nice. It was cosy and comfortable, beds are excellent. Bathroom was nice also. It was quiet. FOOD There is a coffee with some food for breakfast, coffee, tea... in the lobby which is very good and prices are correct. We do not try the restaurant or the à la carte buffet as we get out for visiting the city. WI FI & TV Excellent wi fi and possibility to connect stream channel to the TV from your phone)

Arlo was great value for money. In a great location as everywhere was accessible. Spotlessly clean. Big comfy beds.Staff very friendly and helpful in all departments. It was great to have a nice bar / lobby area to relax with a glass of wine or coffee after a long day exploring the city. If possibly I would upgrade to a city view as the view is amazing
