For the price, I can't say much about what I didn't like. The room was clean, bed was comfy, the only complaint is in regards to the child next door. A young couple with a very loud and inconsolable child that had an afternoon tantrum and was awake at 6 AM on the balcony and making a lot of noise.

The staff at the Avalon are fantastic, very friendly, and very accommodating. More than one staff member went above and beyond to be helpful to me. It feels like a family running the place but I don't think that it is.

The WiFi wasnt strong enough in our room. Doesnt matter, the pool area is the place to be and the WiFi works perfect there. Our outdoor chair was broken, still ok for sitting, doesnt look Nice. Great to sit in front of our room/kind of balcony with a Nice poolview

Neal is a great host! He will do everything to make your stay comfy! Neal is hospitality, hospitality is Neal! The pool is great, the people are lovely, location is perfect. Great value! Free coffee and tea at the Office!

Value for price. Good sound insulation. Location is perfect too - 5 minutes of walk from the ocean. 24hrs check-in and check-out. Parking is included in the price. Clean and no roaches.

Cleaning could be improved but other than that it was a fair room. Dishes were limited, but there was a stove and other cooking accommodations

Price was worth the short trip for especially for an oceanfront. Parking was good was not over crowded. Location was perfect just steps from the beach Staff (Neal was awesome)

The carpet smelled mildew as if they had shampooed it before our arrival. Couldn't walk on the floor with our bare feet as it was wet and creeped us out. Not sure if the prior people had a pet but because of the mildew smell it smelled a little bad.

The location is everything! The rooms are big and I like the fact the studio had a balcony to sit on. Definitely a great deal for anything last minute and if you want to be steps away from the beach.

Blankets on bed didn’t smell clean like soap.. also hairs on the bed. And the lounge chair had many stains on it. I’d just toss it. Who knows what the stains are from lol

We enjoyed the pool, it was very clean. They also had a hot tub we didn’t go in though but looked nice. They also had mini golf. My kids tried to play however Mini golf wasn’t kept up with as there was grass in the holes. Room was decent wasn’t bad at all. Smelled nice. We did notice trash under our bed and blankets were extremely wrinkled and I noticed a few hairs on our bed. So I’m not 100% sure they were washed.. and we were only given two towels for 4 guests. But overall the staff was extremely nice and the place was nice. There were people who clearly lived there that’s the only thing we would change because they were a bit sketchy.. but would definitely stay there again. If you need a place for a night or two it isn’t bad and very close to the beach, ice cream shops, restaurants etc.

My husband and I are used to a very firm mattress. The beds were on the softer side.

Avalon is a quiet, clean, and convenient little boutique hotel. We stayed for 3days. 1 night at the beginning of our trip and 2 nights at the end. We had 2 different rooms and both were very clean and homey. A small kitchenette every thing we needed if we were going to stay and wanted to make our own meals. The staff went over and above to make us feel at home.

The location one block off the beach is awesome! The property manager, Christine was very nice and helpful. Appreciated the free use of beach towels, and the free parking. Room was spacious and pretty much had everything we needed. Quiet. The biggest downside was the mattress, which “sunk” in the middle and had very little support. Replace the mattress and we’ll stay with you on every trip to Deerfield. 😉
