Courteous and friendly staff, exceptionally clean, very modern room with all that you could possibly want (including a fridge) for an airport stopover, even an iron. Extremely comfortable king sized bed with lovely linen. Complimentary coffee available in the lobby was very much appreciated. Breakfast is also available but we had to miss it due to a very early flight. A shuttle service to the airport is available but not until 7.00 am which was too late for our flight but the Receptionist was extremely helpful and booked a taxi for us. This arrived the next morning right on time so there were no problems.

We chose the O Hare location for affordability and easy access via subway from the Rosemont Park and Ride lot to downtown (about 45 mins), bypassing the 24/7 Chicago rush hour and exorbitant parking rates. The Avid Hotel was perfect for us. It is quite different from standard lodging. Rooms and public spaces are designed to provide the convenience of home rather than the comfort of home. There are no clubby chairs or heavy furniture. Everything is functional and sensible in an IKEA sense. Light, air, internet, television, plumbing were working as expected. Our room with a king-sized bed and a large window was bright and airy. It was not large but did not feel confining. Being new, the hotel was quite clean, and the service was efficient and friendly. We did not use the airport shuttle. The hotel modestly calls its breakfast "continental", but it is more extensive than most.

Hotel was nice, comfortable, very safe and clean and close to restaurants, shops and the All-State Arena.

Breakfast was very good and saved us from going out for breakfast before our work day. The modern style and good desk and chair were great. Nice lobby dining and work area.
