To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

This considerably increased the overall cost and should have been added to the total cost of the room at booking time. The staff wasn’t very friendly and was rushing explanations

United States of AmericaI entered self parking before I checked in. I paid the parking at the machine box. And I found hotel also charged my parking in my bill. It’s double charge.
The hotel is in the middle of the strip. CVS is just downstairs. The room is big and clean.

SingaporeRoom floor was carpeted but bedroom slippers were not provided. Basic toiletries like shampoo, body lotion and body wash are provided, but toothbrush and toothpaste are not. Just to note for your own packing.
Room was very spacious. Location is extremely convenient if you need to travel by CX bus (from airport and to the outlets). There is also a Grand Bazaar right outside the hotel with lots of food stores that open till late so you don't have to worry about food. Check-in and check-out is conveniently done via self-service kiosks.

United States of AmericaHousekeeping. We check in late, so the first day we didn't need housekeeping. After that it was hit or miss. As we left our room in the morning, we saw an attendant on our floor and asked for our room to be cleaned...that didn't happen. We call called the front desk and it still didn't happen. The following day we saw another attendant on our floor and the room was made up. The reviews said this might be an issue, so I wasn't surprised.
I booked and re-booked several times. The price was dropping as it closer to our stay. In the end, we paid for a fountain view king. Arrived to our room and no fountain view, just a view of the roof from a lower level. we went back down to check-in and for an additional $50 per night we upgraded to a suite (2433) with a huge room, tub, shower and amazing view of the Sphere and High-roller, still paying less than our original booking.
