It was definitely unique, sharing space with a comedy/strip joint. Wasn’t expecting that but for a last minute booking, I was ok with it.

Since it was only one night, we didn't bother to complain but the TV reception was poor, only 2-3 channels came in clearly, others fuzzy. The bedside lamp switch didn't work so you had to plug/unplug it to turn it on and off. The toilet tank fill valve kept sticking so it wouldn't flush the next time without some jiggling or removing lid.

Staff are very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Location is wonderful, so easy to walk to dinner and breakfast places. The room was quite small but very clean. Was thinking we would hear a lot of noise/laughter on a Friday night from the bar area downstairs but it was fine.

Clean, no frills room for when you need to lay your head in a good location

You get what you pay for - this is a no frills room and was slightly depressing. That being said, all I needed was a place to lay my head and the location couldn't be beat.

Good location, quick service at the front desk, room was very clean.

It was clean and a nice little room. It is old and you need to be able bodied to live there. Quiet. Really good bed. Very good value.

The internet just didn't work in the room. Even trying all the networks, it would just not work. This was pretty bad for me. It would work on the lobby area, but not in the room I was staying in. The rooms are a little bit outdated. The elevator can be challenging, sometimes guests forget to close the manual doors and then you have to take the stairs.

The location was good. There were lots of food options nearby. Staff was friendly enough. The price was the big plus.

You will need to climb stairs to enter, so be prepared if you have heavy luggage. On another note, it would have been nice to have a coffeemaker in the room.

Great location, within walking distance of the Dupont Metro Station. The room was comfortable and relatively quiet, considering it's on a busy street.

Good location. If you’re upper middle class you’ll complain and be probably call this place ghetto, but if you’re upper middle class stay at an upper middle class hotel. The room was clean, and I make sure to inspect everything before dropping my bags, and for the price, that’s all I want. Didn’t do anything in the room but sleep. Staff was friendly and helpful in pointing out good spots to eat and go out for a good time. Overall for the price of things in DC this place is a 10, absolute gem. Won’t stay anywhere else when I come back to visit. There’s a bar and comedy club downstairs and the staff there is also very friendly.

I was given Room 401 which was overlooking the beautiful historical Presbyterian Church opposite. It was a picture postcard view from my room on the fourth floor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and ensuite were immaculately clean. The elevator is old but works when you figure out operating the two doors. The entrance is a bit run down, but the view from the room and cleanliness make up for it. The hotel is walking distance from DuPont Metro Station.

Only one of three front desk attendants were nice, personable, and helpful. The room had two windows, but the blinds did not block out light at night, so the room was pretty well lit all night long. Of the five nights, we were disturbed three because of delivery trucks backing up and people outside arguing.

The rooms were kept clean, and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed having access to a coffee machine and tea pot in the lobby. There was always plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower.

There have been some renovations of the room, but the place seems dingy. Needs fresh paint and some new or restored furniture. Front desk staff did their jobs but were sloppily dressed and seemed lackadaisical.

The soap products provided were really low quality. Even though I had a lamp next to my bed, there was no outlet to plug it in. The extra lock in my door was broken. Definitely needs a bit better upkeep.

The location was great, in a nice neighborhood full of cafe and restaurant options. The place is nice and clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The wifi was very intermittent, which I had not originally realised and, as a consequence, made me spend quite a bit of money in roaming charges. When I noted this to the staff, the lady replied "but you are not paying for the wifi".
