To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaVending machines on the 2nd and 3rd floor would be nice but that's just me being picky. There wasn't anything that was bad about our experience.
Overall it was a great stay. The hotel room was nice as well as the people. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a luxurious sweet, but it deffinently exceeded expectations with the pricing of the hotel. We will be staying here again in the future.

Got a room right by rear door so made it really easy to unload. Room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good.

United States of AmericaThe individualized heating unit in our room was loud, so every time it cycled on, you knew it.
The breakfast, for the most part, was handled by the staff. The menu items were listed and you chose from those menu items (cheese omelette, sausage links, sausage and biscuits, muffins, bagel etc). While we were in attendance that morning, everything was manageable and the attendant, Elaine, was very helpful and friendly. I don’t know how it would have been if you’d had 20 or so people waiting to order their breakfast items. That said, some people are slobs when it comes to self-serve, so my wife and I appreciated that Elaine was taking care of everything.

United States of AmericaMy only complaint was when looking over questions and reviews of hotel I saw the extra charge for dogs was $20 but when we arrived and charged for dog it was $40, when I asked about that it was explained as older question, that should be removed so there is no discrepancies. I have no issue paying for my pup but it’s nice to know what to expect for charges.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It was quiet. The bed was comfortable. It was convenient on/off freeway. Happy it was dog friendly and clean room! Left before breakfast so have no comment.

It’s a much older property that is well taken care of and super clean. No s front staff.

The staff is efficient and friendly. The breakfast service is different from most hotels (i.e. it's not a buffet). But it is very efficiently run and actually helps me not overeat. Bottom-line, it works and I would like to see some lobby modifications that make it a more permanent feature.
