Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaHousekeeping service was very inconsistent. Sometimes we had missing towels or dish soap, no water glasses, etc. We lost a white t-shirt that probably got scooped up with the bed linen and never found. Lobby service was also not the most helpful, e.g., no help getting a shower cap (why is that not standard toiletries?) or change so we could tip the staff. Also not particularly helpful with answering questions. My other main pet-peeve is the facility fee of $34.76. What is that for? We couldn't even get a tea bag from the lobby and you're charging us a hefty daily fee? That is usually only seen in resorts with tons of amenities.
Excellent location, walking distance to the White House and the National Mall as well as other museums and restaurants. Easy access to public transportation. The area is VERY well served by buses and is an easy walking distance from two metro stations. Our room was very spacious, quiet and had a very comfortable bed. It had a Lavazza espresso machine with pods (similar to Nespresso) that we absolutely loved!

United States of AmericaSomeone (probably from cleaning facilities?) came into the room without knocking around 3pm. It was a quite terrifying experience and the room was already cleaned when he walked in. We felt very uncomfortable. But everything else was good.

GermanyThe windows are not really sound-proof against noise from outside. It always sounded as if the window was halfway open. It's not been too bad though. Also maybe two separate blankets in the double bed would've been better, we didn't ask for a second one though as we sorted it out ourselves.
The hotel room was quite good size-wise for two persons, the bed was comfy and big enough for two friends to sleep beneath each other. Bathroom has been great, except for the slightly dripping sink of our bathtub. Upon report to the hotel reception, they wanted to look into it. It didn't bother us too much, as we closed the bathroom door at night. The nearest metro station is about 12 minute walk away, Farragut West.

AustraliaA lack of accessible rooms, and an understanding that 2 beds is sometimes necessary for people with disabilities travelling with friends, or even with partners. Pain can keep us awake

United States of AmericaWould have liked if there was an included breakfast option, there's a cafe but you have to pay quite a bit for what they offer. The facilities were okay but could use an update, the key cards took a couple of swipes to register. Would have liked a private space to do work while in the hotel.
Location was not bad, within a mile of the WH and DuPont circle, about 10 minute walk from metro stations. Price was very reasonable for DC. Beds were super comfy! It felt safe and the premises were very clean. No major noise issues, we slept soundly. Check in and out were an easy process.

United States of AmericaSome of our party did not like the beds. Ten of us ate in the restaurant which was rather mediocre. And we were told they cannot split the bill between more than two credit cards.
The location was great, The value good. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms really varied in size and shape, but were generally roomy and comfortable.

United States of AmericaThe VALET price is ridiculous. No need to charge $70 PER NIGHT to park. Everything about the hotel was pretty good but I think the valet cost was over the top !
The bed was comfortable and the view was really nice. The amount of space was decent .I didn't hear too much noise. Our maid service was also great.

United States of AmericaFor the price you pay to stay, there should be more amenities and updates. No Fridge or microwave in the room which is a inconvenience. The shower in our room was clogged, the water didn't drain properly. There were no trash bags in the rooms so we had to emphasize with the laundry bags left in the room. The TV was on the right side of the bed, we had to turn the TV around in order to look at it comfortably. Having to use our keycards to work the elevator every time we had to go up to our room was bit annoying. We would swipe the keycard and the other elevator door would open which was scary especially if you were leaning on it, we didn't know it would open.
Staffing was nice and the valet personnel were very attentive and polite. It's definitely in the city of DC which was walking distance to a few locations we visited. Room was spacious just out dated for the price. Bathroom was spacious.
