I stayed in two rooms. in the first one, the A/C was a bit weak, but they brought a fan that helps circulate the cool air and made it very comfortable. The mattress in that room also felt a bit too squishy and the chairs needed to be replaced. The second room didn’t have a full length mirror. But these were overall minor flaws for such a wonderful stay.

Classic New York hotel in an incredible location away from the tourist grind of midtown, it felt just like having a studio apartment in one of the best neighborhoods in Manhattan. The staff was also great. I loved my stay there and didn’t want to leave.

Our stay was to celebrate my husband's birthday with our 3 sons who all live in NYC. When the front desk heard about the birthday, they upgraded our room to a suite, even for just one night, and brought us wine and chocolate. So lovely of them. We'll definitely come here again. We had meals with our kids so we didn't deal with meals at Beacon.

Didn’t offer any breakfast, even a Continental breakfast would have been very nice. Bathrooms were pretty small for the price.

Bathroom was a little tight but understandable use of space.

Really nice room, not too small like a lot of the ones we looked at in NYC. The added kitchen was a nice touch with a refrigerator, electric hob & microwave. We used the refrigerator & microwave. Nice view, even out the back of the hotel from our room. Looking at The San Remo apartments was always fun. All three lifts worked perfectly & really fast. Nice comfy bed & pillows.

The upside of the location also meant slightly further to travel to some places no outside space and a poor lobby area but great sized room and having a small kitchen area was great

Bed was not very comfy, with no side table on one side, and most importantly, no mirror in the bedroom! Very hard to do your makeup and check out your look with only a bathroom mirror, if someone was using the bathroom!

The hotel is showing it's age, a bit, and while it didn't take away from the experience, I did notice peeling wallpaper in a few places, but it was still clean, so that really wasn't an issue.

Location of the hotel was perfect for me. I was visiting my son that lives on the UWS, and this hotel was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size by any standards, but very large for NYC standards. I loved that there was a kitchenette. I only used the refrigerator this time, but would definitely use it had I needed to. Housekeeping was very nice, and did a great job on my room.

Unfortunately, I paid a little bit extra for a city view and I got a view of the big building.

The accommodation does not have parking or valet parking, but they were very helpful and showed me the parking lot right behind the hotel (2 minutes on foot) We had a very good chat at the reception and they also advised me how to get to where I need to be. Overall great staff. Small bathroom, but well equipped. Everything is nice and clean.

The staff is fantastic. The location is fantastic. It has all of the qualities one wants away from home. I should count the number of times I have returned. Of course The Beacon Theatre which shares the city block has provided entertainments with Bob Dylan, Seal, Jerry Seinfeld to mention a few….
