Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No beach access Restaurant. Staff is unfriendly
I have stay here several times over the years and through several owners Staff is good. Restraint is expensive and uninviting picnic area is exclusive to restaurant. They will run you off if you are not eating or drinking No hot tub or sauna My key cards timed out every day i had to walk to the office to have them reset twice

the hotel is very beautiful, the location is excellent, but the bathroom, even though it is modern and renovated, is not functional at all, there is no space to hold the soap and there is no protective box in the shower, which causes more wetness on the bathroom floor and I also had nowhere to rest my towel near the shower. Furthermore, the phone wasn't working and neither was the television.

No pool or hot tub
I like thevfactvthatvyou get to talk to a person and see a person instead of recordings. There seems to be always someone available. The location is great, and it is set up well for people who like to get up and go enjoy the outdoors.

There isn't a reserved place for breakfast it is close to the front desk and there are not many options, just bread, coffee, and yogurt. I really didn't like
I stayed there just for one night. When I arrived at 11 PM everything was ready to accommodate us! The staff at the front desk was kind and offered us some food and drink, which was great after driving 5 hours.

No microwave , no spa like mentioned, which was one of the reasons we booked there.
The beds and shower, but there was pubic hair in the shower and no wash clothes.

The dark carpet - read above.
The location was good. Staff were very nice and a really nice continental breakfast. Rooms were a bit tired and the carpet was a very dark colour which made the room appear very dingy and it would have been a huge difference with a different floor covering.

No complaints! My daughter stayed here with her team and enjoyed the property.
I didn’t actually stay at the property and cancelled my reservation after the cut-off date. The hotel staff was amazing and gave me a travel voucher for the same amount as I paid, to use at a later date.

The beds were stiff and not comfortable.
Facilities were clean and most of the staff quite friendly. The Romanian gentleman wasn’t friendly. A smile would have been welcoming.

The jacuzzi was broken, pool not filled or in use, no freezer in the fridge to freeze our ice packs, and the carpeting along the railings outside could use a sweeping.
We loved the free hot chocolate with hazelnut creamers. The English muffins were soft high quality. Loved the PB and jelly to go. Too many sugar cereals but plenty of choices there. Lots of take with you snacks : granola bars, fig bars, nuts and raisins. Great for a ski day! Also, given s’more bags at the front desk. Loved that although the marshmallows were a little stale. ;-). The memory foam mattresses were so comfy! We all slept great!

Property is older. We should have gotten a second floor room because above us was so loud, stomping, creaking. We could hear our neighbors. We didn’t sleep well both nights.
Very close, walking distance to heavenly village and Lake Tahoe marina. Free parking and breakfast.

The shower was not great. The shower head is far too large for the shower and you have to practically plaster yourself to the wall to get wet.
The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfortable!

The main rooms at the front part of the hotel were not being used so we had to go way around to the back to an old adjoining hotel which is "a work in progress". The worst thing about the room in this old place was that there was only ONE electrical outlet operational (there was one other but it didn't work) and the outlet was beside the sink which was on a very small counter. Imagine all the "juggling" we had to do to charge 2 laptops, 2 iphones, 1 tablet, 1 watch and use the coffee maker and the hair dryer!!! Considering the modest room charges, I thought the breakfast was just fine. Good idea to have the packages of sliced apples. And the porridge and cereal choices were very good. So was the coffee. Thanks!! However, the lobby needs a good cleaning. And the few old chairs and a couple of little round tables provided for eating breakfast are not very good.
The staff were friendly and helpful when asked. The bed was comfortable and our room was clean. The location of the hotel was close to ski lifts, Starbucks, and good restaurants.
