To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United States of AmericaWould be nice to be able to call ahead for valet instead of going outside and waiting. Not a huge deal, though. Front desk staff were great, especially the gal working when I checked out the morning of the 31st. She was a gem!
They gave me a complimentary upgrade when I arrived to a premium room which was a corner room, and I really enjoyed it. Very cool decorative touches throughout the hotel. The biscuits and gravy breakfast was very hearty and yummy.

United KingdomLobby bar service was too slow. I observed others suffering this too. Ate in the lobby restaurant & it was the worst meal of my 3 week USA trip. A "pizza" of sorts capable of breaking your teeth. The topping was a salt sludge. Our wine (one glass) took for ever to arrive. Our waiter (clearly frustrated)apologised for the performance of the lobby bar team. I complained in a moderate fashion, and the pizza" was removed from the bill. The kitchen team declined my offer to discuss the food.

United States of AmericaRestaurant and rooms need to have regular (black) tea bags. In restaurant I tripped and fell over the edge of a stage-like raised platform. Saw 2 other people stumble on it but not fall. It needs to be removed or lit in some way to make it less of a hazard.

This a beautiful hotel, wish we could have enjoyed the bar area but we only stayed a night. Very convenient to Beale Street and surrounding downtown area. Gorgeous room, with furniture that didn't feel so "hotel" like. Very friendly staff.

United States of AmericaI booked this room about 6 months before because I was staying for NYE for a wedding. I booked it through Booking.com and had received several emails confirming my stay, and even a conversation between the hotel and I. When I went to check in at the check in time, the woman said she couldn't find my name in the system. It seemed like that broke her. She had no idea how to operate or how to get me in the system or find my reservation. It took around 45 minutes for her to do this and for her to get me checked in because she "didn't have permission." There was no sense of urgency and she was rude to other customers on the phone and the new ones waiting in the lobby. I have no idea how I wasn't in the system because of all of the prior communication, so I honestly think she was typing my name in wrong the whole time. It was a whole fiasco. I eventually checked in, 45 mins later, and when I went down to the lobby for something else, there was a line of about 6 people. This woman had literally no idea what she was doing and shouldn't have been left alone to work the front desk on NYE.
Everything was great besides the woman who checked us in. Cute vibe. Cute bar and restaurant. Room was a great size and the beds were comfortable.
