Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe receptionist was not very inviting upon our arrival. Not cheerful at all.
The room was very comfortable, the shower wonderful, the bed was so comfortable. I appreciated all the products in the bathroom and study desk area: coffee, toothpaste, toothbrushes (!), body gel, and shampoos.

Beautiful old hotel in the center of town. The bar/restaurant is really the only place to get a drink or eat in the town.

United States of AmericaI was in Jr. High & High School in this town and The Hotel Bentley was the fanciest place in town and used for special events. I expected the rooms to match the lobby decor, but alas, just bland white walls, bedding, minimal artwork and no view. Our window was centered on the dome over a stained glass feature for the lobby. We couldn't see the river or anything else, really. Wednesday night saw many people in and out of rooms down the hall partying hard. Loiters out front on the entrance area left us feeling unsafe trying to go in to our room late from visiting family. Was that a "lady of the evening" hanging around on the front sidewalk? Sadly, we never got to try the restaurant. It was open later than we left in the mornings and closed b4 we got back from visiting family. Still, the price was affordable compared to newer hotels. Parking leaves a lot to be desired as well. Sad to see so many prominent businesses closed such as Weiss & Goldring. I hope the downtown will be updated someday. Just expected more.
Rooms were clean and comfy. Historic lobby decor was fascinating.

United States of AmericaThe staff was friendly but wasn't very accommodating with answering the phone from our room or helpful with directions around downtown.
The structure of the hotel was beautiful. It was our first time visiting this hotel and the Architectural work was astonishing. The rooms are very basic compared to downstairs, however, the hotel is still a bang for its buck. We even took engagement photos at this beautiful place and I cannot wait to see the results. We will definitely be back.

United States of AmericaIt was entirely too cold everywhere. In the middle of the summer I had to turn the heat on in my room. Also, they no longer serve breakfast on weekdays.
It's a wonderful old hotel that has been well maintained.

United States of AmericaFront desk is extremely tacky with clear barriers, very dingy, low light. It looked like an empty convenience store in a bad neighborhood with bullet proof glass. Clerk was dressed in a tacky t-shirt and did not smile or give a greeting (robotic). It's a shame because the building is grand and beautiful.
Comfortable mattresses, clean room and bathroom. There are a lot of museum displays and memorabilia that were interesting.

United States of AmericaThe TV did not have premium channels. The fridge was set a little too cold and froze my drinks. The folks in the next room were occasionally a little loud.
The rooms were a little small but immaculate. The parking was very close. I really like staying in unique hotels not the cookie-cutter cinder block creations off the interstate. Bentley is certainly not that. The bath accessories were very nice. The free waters were appreciated.

United States of AmericaParts of the property seemed to have seen better days. Particularly on the main level, some areas were closed. The front desk seemed rather makeshift.
I loved the original historic decor. It felt as though you were stepping back in time. Lunch in the downstairs restaurant was delicious. Staff throughout—front desk, cleaning, and restaurant—was very friendly and accommodating. The ballroom, being decorated for a wedding, was lovely.

United States of AmericaMy room was not serviced at all during my second day if the stay. Bed was not made, had to call to have wash cloths and coffee brought after we used those supplied. The second night there was no hot water. After we called we had to wait quite a while for it to hear before we could shower.
