Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaIt was hard to get a good nights rest on the firmness of the mattress (my husband agreed with me!). We each had 2 pillows, one soft and one more firm, but if you used just the soft pillow your head sunk straight down, and if you put the firm one behind it your neck was up at an angle and uncomfortable. We also struggled with the a/c, it was very hot in our room and though the blowing sound came on when we adjusted the thermostat we couldn't feel any air coming through the vent when we stood on the bed. We ended up opening the window so it would cool off.
The room was quiet, private, and clean. We loved the coffee bar/fridge area with the complimentary coffee, utensils, and cups. The bathroom was amazing - heated floors, large vanity/mirror, beautiful shower. And a deal compared to some of the hotels closer to Old Port just down the road. Finding on street parking was never an issue for us.

United States of AmericaRoom was in general clean but they didn’t clean the mugs thoroughly. There’re still coffee stains from previous uses. The rooms are not very sound proof so you hear everything—from the TV of the next door guest to the steps from upstairs.
Little boutique hotel located in the East End of Portland. Walkable to plenty of good restaurants and breweries. Room was comfortable with cute decor and artwork. There’s no staff on site but they’re very communicative by texts/calls.

United States of AmericaIt is beautiful… staying here is like a little bit of magic. The rooms are more than lovely, the courtyard is so beautiful, and all the finishings are just perfect. The location is wonderful with the worlds best bakery across the street, and restaurants and quaint little grocery stores within walking distance… all in the most beautiful part of Portland.

United States of AmericaHonestly everything was great minus a couple slight inconveniences. It could be improved to be able to have access to thermostat. The thermostat was locked and it was very cold the first night and then very hot the next night. Definitely recommend booking an upstairs room or a room without a room above you….there were children above our room #3. You could hear them yelling and jumping from the bed to the floor and running from midnight until 8am.
Very cute and quaint. Wonderful location…we had a rental car but walked everywhere.

United States of AmericaThis was a great find. A comfortable alternative to large hotels and overpriced Airbnbs. This was perfectly located in Munjoy where it was easy to access the eastern prom and downtown. We enjoyed great coffee on the courtyard patio in the morning. The only regret is we kept missing the times the observatory was open, which is directly next door.

United States of AmericaThere was no microwave so we weren't able to heat up anything. It certainly is not a place to spend a significant amount of time. Portland is a foodie city, but unless you're eating cold cuts at the apartment you can't make any food there.
We really enjoyed the construction features of this room. The space was very bright, clean, and cozy. We didn't mind spending a rainy day inside.

United States of AmericaParking would get tricky mainly at night, and would have to find street parking a ways away but never too far to be any real trouble. Other than that, nothing else was really any issue!
Absolutely loved our stay there, it was cozy, clean, and in a great location. So many fun places within walking distance. The kitchenette in the main building was super accessible and nice to use, as well as the courtyard which was just gorgeous. The coffee was amazing haven't brewed like that before but loved it. One main problem we found, was it was so nice we didn't want to leave much!
