Workout room needs at least 2-3 yoga mats or floor mats. Parts of the hotel show decay- rotted wood and areas in the rooms (bathrooms) where materials need to be replaced. The rooms were cleans and comfortable so this is just a visual issue. Value of the hotel is good, location is ideal for freeway and downtown Encinitas

Many of the plugs in the room didn't work and the balcony door kept jamming when open. It was very difficult to close and no one was available from maintenance until the following day. The train that goes through Encinitas is very loud and constant, but that is not fault of the hotel, you will just hear it!

Michelle on front desk was very kind and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Location was perfect. I have been working in the customer service environment for over 30 years and I have been going all over states for for work a similar time. To call it „continental breakfast“ was a crime in itself. To have plastic cutlery & cups for breakfast in a hotel, hm. For me that’s a definite NO. Every single day brown toast, bagel and waffles. Where is the variety? Couldn’t they have changed it at least a few days a week, again just my opinion. Under the term „continental breakfast“ I understand to be offered some cheese & ham. Being greeted in the morning at reception when enquiring about train travel, with „what“….. To get the answer, I have only lived here for a few years and I don’t take the train…. Having done my homework only to find out the train station was within walking distance. The word „proactive“ is obviously not in the American vocabulary. Or how about making paying guest aware of the information stand with lots of leaflets re: surrounding areas, which is situated just behind the reception desk….. Also, having said good morning every single day to the housekeeping staff, the whole time we were there, two said good morning back. Where is the common curtesy. And it is definitely NOT a language problem hence a lot of workers come from across the border. Got honestly no words for it! The amount we paid to have breakfast - I got two words for it. DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!! The only good thing about it was the location. Thank you.

It sounds like the balcony sliding door is always open, you can hear EVERYTHING. If a pin drops on your neighbor's balcony you'll hear it. The walls are very thin too, we could hear the couple next door having a great weekend...

The location and views from the hotel were nice. Plenty of easy parking, doesn't seem like the hotel is getting too much business these days. The wifi worked great. Standard tv with some on demand selections but not a smart tv, so no Netflix or youtube, etc.

We arrived to find out the amenities in the room booked weren’t acceptable(shower only) which wasn’t clear when booked. Had to upgrade to get a bathtub. Very oricey to do so. We stayed 4 Years prior and we’re very happy

Balcony was dirty and the door was falling off, parking structure didn’t seem safe, also our room door was hard to open. Also they gave is the wrong room at first, but fixed the problem fast. BUT once we were in our room another couple came IN!!! They gave someone a key to OUR room, which was super awkward.

Spacious room with a beautiful view from the balcony. Although the hotel does not have a glamorous entry and the host (the one that I dealt with) could have been a little more polite and attentive, the room and the area was fantastic!

The place needs a little help. The woods railings are falling apart. Someone spilled something on the balcony and no one cleaned it up. The floors in the room are dirty and the slurry floors throughout the place are peeling and coming apart.

The structure is older. The HVAC unit in the room is a bit loud. Parking and room access are mostly through the parking garage. The garage has low clearance.

The location was great. Close to shops, restaurants, and nightlife if you choose. The room was large with a balcony. Plenty of space. Didn't have time to make it to the pool, but it looked nice!
