Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I was often awakened by the alarm in the adjacent room.
Staff were very friendly, especially Bobbie Jo, who was extremely helpful and informative.

The carpet in the room is super sticky in front of the TV. Shoes have to be worn at all times.

The shower/tub wasn't clean. It still had dried soap and hair on the walls. The fridge didn't get very cold.

Front desk personnel could smile and bit more pleasant, but they did do their job efficiently.
It was clean. It was convenient to the airport! The airport shuttle was a definite plus. The driver was pleasant and got us there quickly. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast server was pleasant and kept the food looking and tasting good.

There was a problem with my direct deposit the day we arrived so I had to pay in cash. That was a problem that was easily overcome when first presented, but continuing to need to use cash to pay for the room was an issue. If I had the option I would use cash for everything, always and feel there should have been no issues.
Proximity to Roanoke and the price. The breakfast was good as well.

We did not have a refrigerator,so good thing we brought a small cooler for water, was very disappointed about that,

One Front desk staff had little or no knowledge of local attractions or other tourist information. He was unable to provide any assistance in that area and didn't offer any assistance on where to get that information.
No problems with, check in, roomclean and comfortable, good location for shopping and restaurants . We were stranded without a car due to mechanical issues so the location was perfect for walking.

some of the fixtures in the hotel seemed to be dated, especially in the bathroom but overall say was good

Parking was fine, but busier seasons I could see that being an issue with the available parking around the hotel. The hotel pool looked marvelous and clean, but it wasn't too deep so we didn't use it. Not much we didn't like.
The proximity of the hotel to the shopping center was great! A lot of a variety of stores were accessible and it wasn't too far to get back onto the interstate for quicker travel. The location was a mash up with a bunch of other food and hotel spots and the customer service the night receptionist gave us was amazing (didn't get her name though). The woman flying kite statue was also a nice addition to the lobby area and 24/7 access to the coffee makers.

I didn't like that the shower took so long to get hot and the fire alarm kept beeping all night because the battery needed to be replaced.
I liked that it had a pool and was close to alot of amenities. The staff was also very friendly.

An improved way to secure the side doors that lead outside. They are protected with the use of the room key cards, but it is way too easy to place the little stones in the door track to keep the door ajar. Makes someone wonder who is illegally going in and out of this Hotel.
The breakfast items were acceptable, but the area reserved for sitting down on tables was very, very small. Would suggest an average size, little cafeteria (of course, space permitting).
