Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location is not great for much of anything - Monmouth Junction is way outside of Newark/Jersey City. The hotel is right on a busy, divided highway, but it's hard to get to a lot of places because of the New Jersey "all turns from right lane". But the really annoying thing about this hotel was the 5-feet tall list of things that are prohibited, posted right next to the front desk. If they were TRYING to be unwelcoming, it would be hard to do better than this.
Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The hotel was not crowded or noisy. There was morning coffee, but no breakfast. It was easy to check in and check out. Great value for the price.

Our stay came without breakfast option, which would have been a nicer touch. At check-in, it would really help is staff are a little more friendly rather than just processing your application. A smile helps more than they would know.

The cleaning staff came into clean at 930am (way before 11am) and my stuff went missing from my drawer as well as fabreeze.

Toilet kept running continuously. Lick mechanism on door didn’t work despite several different tries with different keys. More preventative maintenance is needed.

The carpet was very dirty and stained. The bathtub had rust stains on the bottom and sides. There were numerous long-term residence hanging out, outside their rooms, smoking talking and hacking up throughout the evening. According to front desk personnel, the hotel wasn't busy, yet they put everyone in the same section despite me asking for a quiet room.
The price is hard to beat.

I wish the location was not off a busy highway or road, so it would be easier for customers to enter and exit. If the hotel was more inside, it would be easier for customers, and maybe for the staff as well.
The rooms were very quiet and clean, giving me space to unwind and relax. There were plenty of lamps to light up the room at night time. The beds were very comfortable and clean. It was an overall great experience.

Old rooms, had some issues with shower, no amenities or free coffee.
Affordable, easy to check in, free parking, good location. Front desk gave us some free water.

The room did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. Bedding did not appear to be washed. We found a lot of hair inside the sheets. There what appeared to be large older stains and cigarette burn holes on the outermost blankets. Complimentary shampoo and conditioner was not provided - not needed, but would have been nice. We brought our own just in case.
The property was a great location and close to shopping centers. It is located right off Highway 1.

There appeared to be people living in this motel. There was arguing and strife. This was very disconcerting! However. We had no issues.
Motel style with private outside door. Loved this as it was easy to step outside and smoke. Room was overall comfortable. Nothing special! It was clean and they cleaned the room daily!! If you are on a low budget and need accommodations that are basic and clean, this will fit. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room. Staff was friendly.
