Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room needed some TLC. (The toilet was badly fit and not quite secure and on the bathroom door by the handle the point of a screw was protruding.)
The location and easy access to the historical areas of Savanah.

Close to everything. Coffee in the lobby all day and night was great and also the cookies in the evening! Room was good and clean! Would stay there again!

The breakfast was a bit disappointing. The scrambled eggs were from powdered eggs, and that is a HUGE thing for me - I always use eggs and meat at breakfast to fuel the rest of my day. To be fair, the sausages were good, and there were hard-boiled eggs, so those redeemed the food situation. THE COFFEE FROM THE POWDERED COFFEE DISPENSER WAS AWFUL! Buy some pots and ground coffee and brew coffee, for Heaven's sake! $200 a night should cover a good cup of coffee in the morning. Believe me, your guests will appreciate it! I had one bizarre occurrence. We went motoring one day to Tybee Island and Fort Pulaski. I moved the yellow parking card we received from the hotel to the sun visor in my car. When we got back to the hotel, we were told that we had to change our room because of an A/C issue. (See "what did you like", above.) In the excitement, I left the card on the visor and my car got towed around 3:00 AM. (My fault, but read on...) Suggestion: Have a list of guest vehicles for which parking has been paid and, before calling the tow, compare the tag number of the suspect vehicle with the list. Would have saved me almost $200... just sayin'
The location was great. We could and did walk to everywhere in Savannah we had planned to go. Also, it was easy to get into and out of the city from the interstate and to go to Tybee Island from West Bay Street. The staff relocated us to another room because the A/C was malfunctioning in the first room we occupied. They saw to it that we were not disturbed in any way by repairs, etc. And it was addressed promptly.

The carpet really needed to be cleaned. The smell wasn't pleasant at all. Also the bed was really firm and the pillows were not comfortable at all. For a king-size bed, why not use king-size pillows instead of standard soft pillows.
The staff and the location were good. Also the size of the rooms was adequate

Nothing. It was fine.
The breakfast was excellent. Lots of variety and the staff were very attentive, replenishing items as needed. The location was great and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted.

Staff wasn’t very friendly. Not rude, but barely acknowledged us. Out next door neighbor was VERY loud all night long, loud music, yelling, a lot of activity coming and going all night

Our room got a little cold due to the heater temporarily not working. The sheets were also thin which led to chilly sleeping conditions.
The property is incredibly convenient - right by the river, tons of shops/restaurants, and a quick drive to the airport. The staff was also incredibly kind and friendly.
