The pool could have been open. This was one of the attractions that had me book the trip. Weather was beautiful and sunny.

It needs updating and a DEEP cleaning. Carpets feel dirty under feet. Bathroom had dirt in corners. But for the price and compared to others in St Michaels it was a steal. The beds were clean and comfortable and sink, tub and toilet were spotless. It just needs an update. We have stayed there over 6 times during 2 years and it is always the same. No evidence of any renovations to rooms. But a bargain!!

There was a slight issue when checking in because the credit card I used to book the room had been compromised and I had a replacement when checking in. The booking agency apparently wanted to charge an additional $100 when checking in. This room was booked back in February. Luckily I had all my email correspondence from the booking agency and was able to confirm I had paid for the room in full at the lower price. That took about twenty minutes to square away. The associate was very friendly and we worked through the issue.

The room was clean and everything in its place. Breakfast was what we had expected. Only issue is the morning they served pancakes they didn't have any syrup (which was not the end of the world!). We went to breakfast on our last day and when we got back to the room the key card would no longer work. It was maybe 9:30 AM so we should have been able to access our room. All-in-all we had a nice cold and rainy weekend for our stay. We spoke with other people that had stayed at the Inn and they spoke highly of the place for an older Inn.

Room had a slight musty smell. Found candy wrappers on the floor from previous tenants. Bathroom mirror needed replacing. Breakfast items need improvement. No scrambled eggs or bacon.

The rooms shown online are NOT the rooms you are guaranteed upon check-in. We went with friends and they booked 2 other rooms. Their rooms reflected the photos shown online. My room, however, was in “the back building” and was incredibly outdated. Aesthetically the room was not accurate to what was shown online. The hotel being pet friendly was nice but, listening to the barking hound across the hall from us all night/morning was not nice.

The included breakfast was nice to have on site. The room included a fridge and microwave which was nice as well.

There was no furniture in our room aside from a bed and dresser. There was no where to sit down aside from the bed. Even though there was plenty of room for a chair or bistro table. There was also no closet, but an ironing board and clothing rack just hung on the wall.

Staff was courteous and pleasant. Room and hotel common areas were clean.

Loud exhaust fans in bathroom need replacing. No hot water first night but it was fixed early next morning.

The walls are thin, we could hear the neighbor on their phone most of the night and, once off the phone, could hear their TV all night into the a.m. The person wasn't being loud. The walls didn't seem insulated.

My dog was welcome to stay, and there are nice walking paths about a 4-5 min drive into St. Michaels.

When i walked in to check in i wasnt greeted, the person at the counter just looked at me and i had to say hello and then when i didnt know what to do he just said its right there and motioned to my papers on the counter for check in. It was 920 at night. They called and said check in was only til 10pm . Online it said 11pm.
