Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThis B and B is located just outside of the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. Pamela was an excellent host, offering suggestions for places to see, dining locations, recommended parking locations, etc. The continental breakfast was slightly varied each morning with some snacks available for use on the go in the park. The room was beautiful with an extremely comfortable King size bed and a pretty view of a creek outside the patio door.

This facility was a great surprise...wonderful. We could ask for nothing; the room was wonderful and very clean. The room was quite and peaceful. The creek out back made the balcony a pleasant experience

The breakfast was the best one we had throughout our holiday in America. Pamela was ready for our arrival to show us to our room and she gave great recommendations for our visit. Good location near to the entrance gate. Definitely the right choice.

United KingdomThe breakfast was disappointing. For the exceptionally high room rate (and the description of the b&b on its own website as a 4 star hotel) it should have been more of an experience not a grab and go style of a motel rather than a relaxing homely experience. We didn't expect to have to eat in our room. The whole b&b experience is about meeting other guests and the host and chatting over breakfast. Apparently the breakfast style changed during covid, understandably, however it is now rather perfunctory. The selection was mostly prepackaged, single portion items including yoghurt, cheese, jam, protein type shakes and shriveled tired fruit, muffin, and bread items with a toaster. No cereals as referenced in other reviews. The next door guests got up first and we had to ask for more! Hard boiled eggs were provided, however not cooked daily. The quantities were calculated per person giving the experience a lack of generosity. The village is small with a general store and a resort hotel nearby so dinner options required a car. The village is near the Park entrance, however it is a 30 mile drive to Yosemite Village.
The room was superb - the bed was large and comfortable and the view over the creek was lovely - complete with a morning coyote visit. The balcony offered a great place to relax in the sun. There is an excellent DVD collection for late night movies. Parking was available. The Innkeeper/owner Pamela was very helpful with information on the park and walks etc.

The Big Creek Inn is located about 2 miles from the entrance to Yosemite. We had the Mariposa room which has a king size bed, and a wonderful balcony view. It was very quiet and Pamela, the owner, made our stay very nice. She was i’ll, but still provided tips on where to go for hiking and dinner. The breakfast was continental and very good. I highly recommend you stay here when visiting Yosemite.

A wonderful room in a beautiful Lodge and a great location, 5 mins from Yosemite South Gate. Pamela was so helpful, and informative, and nothing was too much trouble, she advised us where to go and at the best time, we got to do everything and avoided all the huge queues. United States of AmericaBoth the property and Pamela are AMAZING. Not only the property is located in an beautiful location, but it is also very close to the park south entrance (about 2 miles). Pamela is the best host you could imagine, she helped us optimize the itinerary and pick up the right hikes and woke up very early every day (before 6 am) to ensure we had our breakfast ready before going to the park. Btw, breakfast is INCREDIBLE (and very healthy as well, which we loced). I would reccommend this place to anyone and anytime and would definetly repeat if we ever go back to Yosemite.
