Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThe plumbing sounds and other noise from the apartment above is noticeable. It didn’t really bother us though
The place is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The shower is great and the bedding comfortable. The bus stops nearby make exploring Washington a breeze from here, while your car stays safely parked

United States of AmericaThe condo was lovely, very comfortable, and exceptionally clean. Stephanie, the owner, could not have been more helpful. Well located a quick free DC streetcar ride away from Union Station and a 15 minute Uber ride into downtown and all the museums.

Stephanie our host had thought of everything we might need during our stay - and checked in over email to make sure we were happy. Her place is exceptional and I would highly recommend it for either business or holiday travellers. Thanks again Stephanie!

ChinaCouldn’t be better! Everything is perfect!
The interior of the room was spectacular, very classy. The whole roomed used fancy, top-notch brand for all of their machines and equipments. The host was very helpful and responsive. For example, when we brought pizza home and needed a pizza cutter. He responded within 10 minutes and brought us a brand new pizza cutter before we ate the pizza. We were so warmed that this living experience felt like home. We definitely would like to come back.

United States of AmericaIdeally, I would like to stay right downtown near the mall, but the trade-off in location was definitely worth the advantages of having a large, comfortable apartment with secure parking.
My family of four LOVED our stay here. My main reason for booking was that the apartment had room for us to spread out and sleep separately (perfect for my tweens). It was even nicer than expected though - clean, safe, and modern with all the conveniences. We drove to DC from TN, and I sent an email in advance with questions about what I needed to pack or buy, but there was no need. Everything we needed was already provided. In order to be at our destinations exactly when we wanted to be, we used Lyft or Uber mostly. It took about 10-15 minutes and $13-$15 to get from the apartment door to the museum doors. You can also take the free street car to Union Station and then transfer to the $1 per person circulator or the subway. We did that a few times but decided the door to door service was worth it. Each trip on the subway would have cost about $10 for the four of us so it wouldn’t have saved much money anyway. I enjoyed the daily drives into town as we were able to view so many historical row houses. There’s a CVS right down the block and several food places nearby, but we took advantage of the full kitchen and saved money by making our own dinners each night. The apartment was perfect, and the hostess was gracious and responsive. We even had secure off-street parking. That made me feel better about driving because I was worried about leaving my car in a hotel lot in DC for a week. (I’ll post a photo of the parking area behind the house. It has a garage door.) It was nice to have the car available because we did do a day trip to Mount Vernon and Alexandria one day as well as a trip to the air museum at Dulles. Another day, we used the SpotHero app to find parking near the Capitol. That allowed us to leave things we wanted to have with us in the car during our Capitol tour (including our own snacks, drinks, and bike helmets so we could then rent bikes to tour the monuments). Parking near the mall was about $20-$25. I would definitely stay here again!

United States of AmericaAbsolutely nothing. Flawless. Only positive words to give.
This property was flawless. Everything we needed plus more. came for business representing a food group and was able to do full preparations without going to to a commercial kitchen. The most up to date personal property I have ever experienced in an urban city. I discovered new brands, appliances and products I never knew existed. Heated towel rack, tea and coffee machine, Bosch appliances, new floors, impeccable decorations! Honestly I wanted to move in.

United States of AmericaHmmm.... we had to search for a broom. Honestly, it is a great place to stay and I'm hard pressed to come up with negatives. Being in Washington DC the area is older but that should be expected. If you want to sit outside there is a front porch overlooking the street, and a very small area in the back, but do not expect a grassy back yard. This was not a problem as we were there to go see the sights, but that might bother some people if they expect otherwise? So not a "dislike' for me, just a fact of living in the middle of a city.
The apartment was quite recently updated and remodeled. It is beautiful inside! Comfortable, plenty of linens, well-outfitted kitchen, etc. There were even some treats and snacks left for the customers - quite nice when we arrived late in the day. The owner goes out of her way to be helpful and check up on the guests, and mailed things back that we forgot rather than just say they weren't found. It isn't too far from all of the usual Washington sight-seeing sites (but you will want to use an Uber or have a car). Seriously, the value of this vs paying as much for a single hotel room... no question this is nicer. LOL, I want that refrigerator! We arrived late in the day but had no problems getting into the unit, the owner kept in contact with us. Everything was clean and tidy. The washer and dryer are standard-sized, not micro, and new. The description of the apartment is accurate. If you drive a car there is a small fenced-in area in the back, which is really nice for drivers since street parking can be tricky.
